At the same time there are companies that import against the dollar so the more expensive the dollar is the harder it is for them to keep their costs down.

Its a risky game for the government I guess.

Thanks.. just sent them an email.. now it's wait and watch..

may be the more experienced flyers can tell me whether I am actually entitled to a refund or am I wasting my time..

I booked a ticket with Jet in June (India - New York) for self and wife.. after travelling the outward section, I called jet and got my wife's return dates changed.. my still remained intact.. they charged me approx Rs. 9k for that date change..

Wife travelled on that flight.. went to India, came back with a fresh return ticket with Jet.. so far so good..

Now I called jet again, and tried to get my dates for travelling to India changed.. I am still on the original PNR original ticket.. they made the change free to cost.. based on certain conditions, that existed when I made the change, I was entitled to a free re-scheduling..

Now I am wondering, as those conditions were applicable for my wife's travel also, they should have done the re-scheduling free of cost and not charged me anything..

So am I right in expecting a refund..

That will reduce imports right? Good for balance of trade?

Yeah but will also effect the base price of a lot of goods and services that still require import of raw material from abroad.

Let's see.... I really prefer to speak with them as they take days to response and quite often its a answer to a question you didn't even ask.

hmmm.. Yes its a sad world out there .. :(

But then again, IMHO, the headline makes it sound as if there is some problem with nationality / travel docs due to baby being born in the air on EK flight and which does not seem the case from the details..:td:

And something related.. do airlines usually accept 9 month pregnant ladies even if doc gives fit to fly certificate ?

Hi folks. I had a question. I tried calling delta to redeem sky miles for an air india flight but delta told me that AI no longer has award seats that are bookable through delta. I do have BA miles and United miles too and wanted to check what is the best way to book AI flight?

I don't recall a time ever when DL and AI had a partnership. I think only LH & SQ have a partnership with AI.

I saw a code share agreement on wiki and thought would give it a try and the agent sounded as though she thought this was possible before but she said that she can book a revenue ticket over the phone on AI but not a award ticket.
I do have access to Amex MR too. So would kris flyer be the best option with MR? I also have access to chase UR points if that would help?
