Strange as it sounds since Jet hook it up with anyone and everyone, I don't think they have any partners that fly to Papeete (except AF, but that's through LAX).

I'm not sure if you will be able to use Jet points to get to PPT from New Zealand (unless you're willing to fly to Australia or Korea first, then to Los Angeles and then back down to Papeete!).

More than that, I'd be worried that the Jet agent books you to Tora Bora AFG, instead of Bora Bora PPT! ;)

Is it possible to get to bora bora (Papeete, PPT) on JP miles. More specifically till Auckland It should not be an issue for me because of other tickets. Am looking for the akl-ppt leg. I don't think it's possible looking at the website, but just wanted to confirm here. alternative suggestions also welcome.

Only options from AKL are Air New Zealand and Air Tahiti. Both are not partners.

I would suggest buying some Life Miles as that will allow you to get from DEL to PPT at a very reasonable rate and that to up front in biz. Although finding award availability is a hassle. You can get as far as AKL but the AKL-PPT flight is always sold out solid.

I have been to PPT twice in last 6 years and loved it both times. Make the effort and get there somehow, trust me its worth it.

Getting to Auckland is not the difficult bit. I should manage. It was the last leg I was more concerned about since subject to load on the honeymoon is so not a good idea. And that flight looks sold out all the time anyway. Was thinking of finally putting jp miles to good use but i guess will leave them for some other time. Have a year to plan out. And yes we are extremely extremely excited about bora bora.
Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Problem is the AKL-PPT flight as they really don't release many awards. But its possible.

I've never flown spice jet. This sounds tempting though. Wonder if 9W or AI will match?

AI might, Jet won't. I just rebooked some tickets for the family, and even after paying change fees i was in the money by 40% of the ticket value :D

Ai had come out with a sale in November itself for said period. Tickets were priced at 1799 for the shortest sectors.

not worth the money. Like Economy Plus on UA - a few inches more of legroom.

To be honest with you I just want the extra Luggage allowance since I will be carrying around 35kgs anyway. The ticket is 3k more in Go Air biz then what Jet wants for Economy on same route.

Other option is pay 5k more and buy K class on Jet (use voucher) but then no guarantee on upgrade till check in.
