Was wondering if anyone would catch that. Thought about going in and blurring it, but what fun is that. I'll let the mods decide.

Not a problem, you really have to look to notice it

I appreciate your reviews and photos. I wasn't sure whether to book the West tower that has the club lounge or the Reserve area. I went with the West tower for two, 2 Bedrooms in January, but curious on your viewpoint on whether the Reserve is "better than" the other tower(s).

I believe the reserve is in actually in the west tower (i think, you sort of get turned around quite a bit there as all the passage and hallways look similar) If you're in the market for a quick check-in, no real elevator waits, and what seemed like nobody else on the same floor as us, then I'd go with the Reserve. The reserve check-in/lobby is across and on the same driveway from the more subdued Rosewood hotel. The champagne upon arrival and unlimited fruit, cookies, and coffee throughout the day were nice but we didn't avail of it much. The main check-in areas for both towers always seemed to be busy, but I do believe they have WOH separate check-in line, however, I can't comment on its efficiency and if it's any better than regular. Not sure reserve has any real differences other than those.

I have Globalist, so being close-ish to the Club lounge seems like it would save a lot of walking time so went with that. I booked during the mistake rate when they were pricing all rooms at their base room price, so got the 2 BR suite for $225/nt.

Can you comment on what was available at the Reserve Lounge? what type of snacks, drinks, etc? Was there ever any hot food? Been trying to find any information on the Reserve Lounge and it is pretty much non-existent. We don't have access to the Club Lounge with our reservation, just Reserve, so trying to figure out if we can eeek out a breakfast there.

its not really a lounge, more an extension of the reserve lobby/check-in area. No hot food and you’re not going to make a breakfast out of it. It was mainly cookies and fruit + coffee/tea and some booze in the evening. i would use a Hyatt Prive advisor to make your resy and get the free breakfast at Regatta. I also noticed some cafes and the Starbucks so you can do a lite breakfast that way. Line at Starbucks was usually 50 people deep during breakfast hours.

I’m having a stay here.

The property is really impressive, the biggest one i’ve ever stayed

beautiful beach and sea, even if very crowded, but it’s normal

nothing to complain about, except for:

-temperature at main lobby / casino’ area. A freezer.

-Grand Club: even if nice and relaxing place, with lot of tables outside

Poor food selection during evening time

Very poor wine selection. What they call “champagne” is a 3€ Italian “spumante” (neither prosecco)

I don’t know if it’s normally what offered at Hyatt Grand lounges or if some people don’t understand the difference between champagne and Prosecco and Spumante (I think so, since everyone call it champagne)

i got Lounge access w/3 k points x night and it value for it, more or less, having breakfast included.

Club has been downgraded since resort opened. It had better food selections and top shelf bar. Now the liquor is far from top shelf. For what they charge for the club it's a disgrace. If you get a chance please post picture of alcohol selection.

Thank you! Much appreciated. We also booked during the sale rate of any room for $250/night, so don't have the option to get the free club access added to our room. Even with the great rate, having second thoughts on if our family will go. Large, busy resorts aren't usually our scene and sounds like the food is pretty pricey.

food is really pricey ...something like 100$ x 2 hamburgers and 2 beers, including taxes and service.

and beverage, starting from bottled water, is much worse...

Only for this this reason I think Grand lounge access value for money (if taken by 3.000 points x day), even if poor food/beverage selection.

Can't remember if I read it here, but I read somewhere late last year that Baha Mar was going to be downgraded to a category four. What are the odds they get downgraded next year?

I think the problem is that the hotel legitimately has $300/nt rates during busy times in the winter. Downgrading to Cat 4 just doesn't seem like it makes a lot of sense given that. During not peak times, Cat 5 is definitely too high (nobody in their right mind would pay 20K points for a room that is less than $200/nt).

It feels right on the border - it could be a good value as a Cat 4 (and opens up the use of the free night certs). It seems a little overpriced as a Cat 5 for most of the year. But I've not heard anything official.
