Experienced an excellent three night stay at the end of February using points. We were upgraded from a King Bed Room to a One-Bedroom Ocean View Residence Deluxe (west tower) on the 26th floor. It was nice having a washer/dryer and full kitchen in the unit, although we didn’t use it much. At check in, the FD representative asked us if we wanted a 4 PM late check out as a Globalist benefit, which we accepted. We enjoyed the Grand Club for breakfast, evening appetizers and wine. It was very convenient having access to the club in the west tower to take water and soft drinks on the way out to the beach or pool.
There was construction noise (grading and earthmoving equipment) from the lot adjacent to the SLS Hotel that we could hear from our balcony, but it was fairly quiet with the door closed. A worker told us the construction is for the waterpark that they hope to open next year.
All resort and service fees were waived as Globalist, but I did have to call WOH customer service to get it removed from the credit card. For some reason, the fees were added to the cc after our stay.
We definitely would like to return to this property. View from balcony below:

A couple of questions
1. What was the cost of the Merc hotel transfer? Worth it to not have to deal with standing in line for a taxi?
2. Two booking options (same exact price) are Prive with a $100 credit or Hyatt.com with a $150 credit. Only difference is Prive gives (full?) brekky, while Hyatt.com rate I would just have access to lounge. Is it worth loosing $50 f&b credit to have full breakfast in restaurant for 3 day for 2 people over the continental brekky in lounge?
3. What have globalists been getting for upgrades? Should I choose the Oceanview Deluxe or a suite if offered?
4. Can all restraurants, even those at Rosewood, be charged to Hyatt folio?
5. Anyone gone clubbing at Bond at SLS? Anygood? (College kids going)
Thanks all!

1) Can't remember the cost but it was worth it for the convenience and peace of mind.
2) I would do the book direct on Hyatt. We ate breakfast in the lounge everyday. The food in the evening was usually enough for a light dinner as well.

For the taxi at the airport, do I need to exchange money at the airport or do they take American dollars/credit cards? Anyone remember roughly how much the taxi ride was each way?

1. both the resort fee & the service charge were removed as globalist, via an email request to the VIP Manager on the day of check-out.
the VIP Manager reaches out to globalists a couple weeks prior to arrival.
an earlier in the day request for removal of these items from the folio result in only removal of the resort fee
end result is a globalist pays a total of 23% additional for "Levy" and VAT.
2. Prive benefits flyer
3. Property map
4. no need to wear the ridiculous bracelet
no problem using the superior main & adult pools at SLS or less crowded pool & hottub at Rosewood

Just came back from the trip over the past holiday weekend. It is a good stay at Baha Mar and we are all happy about it.
The pros:
1. Club lounge, good selection of food. Never run out of food. Attentive staff. Good beer, wine and hard drink from 5 to 8 PM. It closes at 9PM.
2. All resort fees waived for out stay with points.
3. Regular water sports, such as kayak and peddle board, have no charges. You'll have to pay dearly at Atlantis.
4. Active and evenly divided pools. Clean and comfortable.
5. Love the jumping Blue Hole. All kids and adults had fun with the jumps.
The cons:
1. The bathroom. It is poorly designed. Toilet has no door. Only one sink. No separate shower and the shower door opens right to the sink. So the bathroom is about only for one person to use. I think this is the effort to save space to get more rooms out of the property.
2. The bed is not level. The bed frames are supposed to sink into the ground, but for both of our beds, only the head is in ground and the foot side are above ground. It is not very obvious, but you can see clearly. This is on poor construction.
We spent 5 nights at Hyatt and 2 nights at Atlantis Cove. This is about the perfect for us. We would not do the other way around. After 5-6 relaxing days with all the club lounge food and water activities, we were all ready for a change for the water rides and the park activities. But I would not spend more than 2-3 days at Atlantis. The costs can add up very quickly and it gets boring to take the same rides every day.

Here now. Casino might as well not exist because NO ONE was in machines/table.
will this place last and succeed like the Atlantis (especially if the rumor about the park at the old Wyndham is true)?
What are your thoughts?
I know it's huge and essentially there's something for everyone which is a win.

Baha Mar quick review and pics
Stayed for a long weekend at the GH Baha Mar. Booked using cash via Hyatt Prive travel advisor, which secured a confirmed upgrade to a larger suite, complimentary breakfast, $100 resort credit, welcome amenity. Suite was two bedrooms (1 king + 2 queens), large wet bar with fridge and wine fridge, dining table, large balcony, media room and 2.5 baths and a butler (this is a great perk)
Pros:
Resort is overall gorgeous, seems brand new, lots of helpful staff, fast service at restaurants even though they were at 95% capacity when we visited.
Suite was large and accommodated my party well
Butler - Comes with the suite (Hyatt Reserve) very key to having a great time down there. Ours was able to literally secure any wish we had. This was a bachelor party, so let your mind wander. They give you a cell number which you can text and they are very responsive. If anyone has any questions, please dm me.
Food was solid. We ate at 3 tides, Shuang Ba and Carne and everything was great. Breakfast at Regatta was fine, nothing amazing but a wide selection for everyone.
Casino - lots of action, tables were full but always a seat or two to be had.
Transportation - reserved through the hotel, Mercedes GL SUV, excellent drivers.
Hyatt Reserve - I believe this part of the hotel is only for larger suites. We had a private entrance, private lounge with snacks and beverages available at all times. No elevator lines at all.
ORDER BOOZE FROM THE FLYING DUTCHMAN LIQUOR STORE - We did this twice, they deliver for free and very reasonable prices. We all had insulated mugs and were able to walk around with these and drink wherever we wanted. I recommend this when drinks start at $18/each. Hotel accepts delivery from store with no issues.
Cons:
Not many, other than the crowd. Somehow, even though it is a massive resort, it felt crowded. The beach is really small and narrow, not much of a beach, you go from chairs, right into the water. No waves, so you can wade around and have a beverage in the water easily.
I thought this was a good reconnaissance trip for me to take to see if I would go back with the wife and kiddo, but it's unlikely. It was just too big and too crowded. Woe is me.
