This wiki captures the main points of the Q3 offer from Hilton as posted by HHonorsRepresentative. The main focus of the thread posts has shifted to discuss the high number of opt out hotels for this promotion. Nothing stopping you from adding other useful information or discussion points to this wiki or to the thread! @:-)

Hilton Q3 Promotion: Triple Your Trip

Offer Details:

Earn Triple Points Friday through Sunday

Earn Double Points Monday through Thursday

Stays must be completed between August 1, 2014 and October 31, 2014 at participating hotels and resorts

Register using this link (Many of you may have already registered! If you received a confirmation email, then the promotion code has already dropped on your account and re-registration would not be necessary)

A full list of non-participating hotels and resorts can be found here

A FAQ for this promotion can be found here

Notes from HHonorsRepresentative about the high number of opt out hotels:

As many of you have already noted, more hotels and resorts have chosen to opt-out of this particular promotion compared to previous offers. We understand that having options when you book stays with us is very important and we do our best to encourage hotels and resorts to participate in our promotions. While we hope our promotions work for most hotels, sometimes individual hotels do not have a need for a little extra help filling their rooms. Many hotels are individually owned and operated so we let them make that decision based on their demand. Additionally, many hotels and resorts see spikes in occupancy this time of year, which explains why some hotels have opted-out.

Please do update this wiki with any other useful info or to correct any mistakes.

As a DL flyer, I know about SPG crossover but didn't realize there was a benefit to elites for GUARANTEED 4pm. Nice, your move HH.

Just to be clear for everyone, the 4pm Guaranteed Late Check-out benefit is available for Delta Diamond and Platinum members and SPG Gold and Platinum members.

However, it is not guaranteed at any resorts or conference center hotels.

Does anyone know if the opt out list of hotels for each promotion are still available? I appreciate that this current one is but does anyone have the links or a copy of the previous 3 or more promotion opt outs?

I ask as I'm willing to do an excel list with hotel name and the track how many times each opt out hotel has opted out, and if new hotels are joining in this game or if the same hotels are always opting out or increasingly opting out...

Would be useful to track to know which hotel we should give our custom to and which ones are repeatedly and increasingly not customer friendly.

A brand wide promotion should be just that IMO, not a "triple points at 2/3rds of our hotels internationally (even worse for US only).

If they don't need the business, they don't want it and we shouldn't give them our business.

Or Hilton should at least have the decency to advertise this correctly as a limited offer at some hotels.

Thanks Need ^

Might take me a few days but I'll do the list and make it available to others.

Cheers ^

My usual approach is to email the GM at a property I would have otherwise booked to tell them that I'm taking my business elsewhere specifically because they're not participating in a promo.

Now I might have to start going there in person, printing the full list (in color if possible), speaking to the GM and personally thanking them for the paper & ink! I'm ok foregoing the bonus points to be able to have that conversation...

The opt out list has gotten so long it's not even worth looking through. It looks like Hilton isn't even trying to maintain the illusion they care about their loyalty program anymore. Fail!

I have 5 nights at a participating property in DC in late August, but I also have 13 consecutive nights scheduled at a Homewood Suites in Dallas in October. And they've opted out. I will now move that $2K in business to a far more convenient Marriott property that's actually within walking distance of my work site.
