Its rumoured PPT will eventually become a A321 NEO destination, with a second weekly frequency added.

only 3 rows done really doesn't matter I guess, typically prefer to have storage under seat in front of me

Row 2 Center Aisle would be my choice.

Just booked an early April in J award for HNL -> NRT for this. Hoping they improve the soft products by then, but since it's the only J award I can find I'm okay with it regardless.

Will be interesting to see how the international experience differs from the west coast flights. Do report back! I need to start looking at Tokyo for June... Wonder when Haneda will get the new seats...

I flew the new product NRT-HNL a few days ago and liked it quite a bit. While the seat components can't be adjusted individually, it wasn't hard to find a comfortable lounging position, and the takeoff/landing position was significantly better than some I've tried. I'm surprised by the comments about tightness in the shoulder area. I'm fairly broad and found the room just fine for both sitting and sleeping (and WAY better than the DL 763 on the trip over).

NRT is one of the cities that sees dedicated lie flat equipment, along with SYD, BNE and AKL. Unofficially, the lie flats are also rotated through to PDX and both SFO flights on a very regular basis, but subject to last minute changes. JFK will see the lie flat equipment in dedicated service in February, I'm guessing after 2 more planes get modified.

As for the soft touches, all international flights now see the new blankets, pillows, serviceware, wine list, signature martini's etc... as of December 1st.

You did indeed! However I was referring to the international accoutrements, not the seats.

From what I understand... JFK will indeed have at least the new blankets, pillows and mattress topper. I don't think it will have the new international service, as it doesn't have the international service now. Though... I've heard the domestic service is up next for revamping, once the roll out of the international one is well underway and through its glitchy phase.
