Thanks for all the tips! The trip / conference was a success. I picked up my Caesar's Diamond Card and matched it to MGM Sapphire (though that is kind of useless and only to June). We used the $100 celebration credit at Nobu in Paris and had an amazing meal. And, I tried my hand at blackjack and made 2x what I started with (blackjack in my very 1st hand).

This will be our last year with the FC benefits, I picked up the Wyndham Business card for my solo travel and it comes with CET Diamnond at a much lower fee. We find the biggest benefit of the Diamond card to be the waiving of resort and parking fees. We stay at a CET property 20 or more times a year and the savings from resort/ parking fees alone are several hundred dollars. The celebration dinner is just the icing on the cake. Additionally, if you stay in Tahoe like we do, Diamond members get vouchers for 4 drinks a day and one for Starbucks. Additionally, I use the total rewards visa for groceries for the points and we will be having a nice steak dinner Saturday night on the reward points from the TR visa (no yearly fee).

The bottom line is for us non-big time gambling folks, we find the CET Diamond card a great asset. I will run a couple hundred dollars through a video poker machine on each trip and that seems to be enough to get mid-week rooms for free. Never cared for the lounges or any of the other stuff, so the ability to easily get diamond without gambling a lot will keep my loyalty for now.

X2 on all of this.... the resort fees are steep and you don't need to stay too many nights to make it pay off getting diamond status however you do it. I didn't realize I could also get it off a CC so thanks for that tip. I gamble a bit more than you it sounds like but am far from a high-roller and I'm in the same boat - midweek room comps and the occasional cheap or even comped weekend room. And love that $100 dinner!

Are you Diamond Plus or higher? I just got back from Harvey's Tahoe and only got 3 free drinks + 1 Starbucks. I def agree for most the Wyndham Diamond match is enough although if I remember right there was a time last year that the partnership had a potential to be discontinued and it changed last minute. I've been on the fence about dropping FC, but I've gotten a lot out of Avis recently and the discounts from the airlines have easily totaled more than double my annual membership fee.

That was only for WR Diamonds that acquired that status via a match. It was never an issue for Business Card holders or people who acquired their Wyndham status through stays and not from a match.

In case you aren't aware your Wyndham Points transfer to Caesars ( Total rewards) reward credits.

The Wyndham Business card pays 5x on utilities, cell phone but the best is 8X points on gas.

You can transfer those points at 1:1 to CET to pay for meals , rooms at the casino, etc, etc

I finally managed to refer a friend and got over 100K FCPoints. Is there any reason to do anything other than redeeming them for a $500 Amex eGift Card?

Caesars free show tickets for Diamonds

Has Caesars brought back the benefit of two free show tickets per month for Diamonds? Last time there, it was either High Roller or Bodies tickets. Have they opened up other shows for this benefit?

I like to know too. Where do we go to ask? Rewards desk or concierge Desk?

They'll be able to tell us at the Rewards desk, but it would be nice to know before arriving in Vegas.

I just left Vegas from a four day stay and it seems some of the dedicated rewards desks are going away and things are just handled through the "cage" (aka, cashier, where you cash in chips). This was the case at The Flamingo and Horseshoe (formerly Bally's). Not sure if it's company wide but I kind of get it. The folks at the rewards desks did just sit there twiddling their thumbs 95% of the time.

There were no show tickets as of Memorial Day week, only diamond entertainment comp is 2 high roller tickets and you can print them at an kiosk..

The CET rewards desks have been moved to the cages for a while now, I don't believe any CET Vegas casinos have dedicated rewards desks anymore.

My FC is up for renewal in the next 2 months.
I emailed to cancel the renewal. I just don't use it enough to warrant another year. Basically if I don't visit Las Vegas at least once per year then I don't get enough out of it. While it is still great IF you DO plan to visit Vegas or other CET locations (Like Lake Tahoe or any other locations really).

Info for others.
My renewal is 295. And they offered a 195 renewal price. Which is great. If I lived in the US or traveled enough. I just won't use it this year or next.

If you reserve a room at a Vegas Ceasar's property without being logged into your Diamond account, will they waive resort fee at check in? Asking for a friend!

My gut says yes but I've never tried... you might just call them after making the reservation
