I still would no hesitate contacting FoundersCard prior to week #3. I know they say it can take 5 weeks... but, no harm in being a bit proactive. Especially since you need the status prior to your trip.

Just received my Harrah's Diamond Status and Hilton Honors Gold today. Both came in at different times - but same day - thanks again.

I look forward to putting both to use. Have a Hilton reservation already booked.

The program definitely could tweak some of it's wording and how it represents things. Comes of as slightly misleading / confusing. I think this would cut down on support emails and calls.

Spouse finally got auto added to account - I had gone through all that setup with initial process - thus my previous statement.

I was aware of how to add a new team member. But did not feel I should have to do this when initial setup stated spouse would be added automatically - I had provided all relevant information during initial setup process.

Spouse addition during setup process made me think a spouse was a courtesy addition included within fee. I was surprised to see an additional unexpected charge do to that addition. Wouldn't have added her if I had been aware of that.

Maybe I misread or misunderstood during setup process. Not sure what I would have missed.

Woo hoo!

Diamond it is--about 2 weeks after I signed up. (guess I should be seeing Hilton Gold as well).

I didn't add my spouse as I saw clearly that it was an additional $295..

How about TR Credit Card (FREE) over Founders Card?

Aside from the other rewards of the FC, what's the benefit over the TR credit card?

I just got the TR CC card; instant Platinum Status, and 10,000 points with with the initial spend.

Also an added benny is $10,000 spend gets you VIP access which gets pool access to all TR sites and VIP lounges access--this along with discounts and bonus points and coupons for rides/attractions.

Just trying to see if FC has any additional bennies over the hodgepodge of cards that one gets: TR+Amex Plat+Hilton Card to achieve similar status levels.

Platinum status at Caesars is worthless now that they charge resort fees. With Diamond you get an annual $100 dinner, 2 free show tickets per month and no resort fees. It pays for itself on the first trip without having to spend $10k or worrying about accumulating 15,000 tier points. There's also Apple discounts, at&t discounts, hotel discounts etc. I just signed up and I'm a happy camper. It is strange that you can't view all the benefits without being logged in to their site.

Anyhow my referral code is FCVINCENT307 if you want to get the $395 lifetime rate for Founderscard.

Here is the wording from the TR credit card site:

When you spend $10,000 in a calendar year, you’ll receive unlimited VIP access in Las Vegas for the following calendar year, which includes:

• VIP Diamond Line Access at participating restaurants
• VIP Diamond Line check-in
• VIP Diamond Line for taxis and entertainment venues
• Preferred entry into participating Las Vegas nightclubs
• Pool access at all Las Vegas properties
In addition to what vince808 pointed out about resort fees and the other Diamond bennies, I don't see Diamond Lounge access or priority valet on the list of credit card benefits. Also keep in mind the credit card benefits are only in Vegas, while Diamond benefits are available at all TR casinos across the country.

Diamond Lounge access is ONLY for Diamond and 7*.

Be aware, in Atlantic City unless you are 7* or earn 25K Tier Points in a year, there is a co-pay for the Diamond Lounge that must be paid with points. (So, you cannot access the Diamond Lounge unless you have total reward points to pay for it, you cannot use cash/credit).

Also, in Atlantic City there are two (separate) 7* Lounges (Harrah's and Caesars).

Thanks for the tip, I didn't know 25k Tier Credits would waive the fee for the AC Diamond Lounges. Is the fee waived for a guest as well?

Yes - if you earn 25K TCs, you and a guest will have the Diamond Lounge fee waived.

Now that part is not difficult, since you can get the Diamond Card at any Caesars Atlantic City property (Caesars, Bally's or Harrah's) when you arrive. Just be certain that FoundersCard has upgraded your account to Caesars Diamond in advance of your stay. From a procedure stand-point, this is what I would do :

(a) Join Total Rewards and get a Total Rewards Number (this can be done online and in advance, make sure you setup and online ID and profile for this Total Rewards Account).
(b) Join FoundersCard, if you use my referral code FCMICHAEL363, and link that's great; but even if you do not, I would be happy to give any assistance I can. (just make sure you enroll in April 2015, since the initiation fee is waived)
(c) After joining FounderCard you will use the link to UPGRADE your Caesars Total Reward account # (which is the number from (a) above).
(d) Caesars account should be upgraded with 4-5 weeks (but, you will setup an online ID and can check weekly). If the upgrade does not appear within 2-3 weeks, I would send an email to FoundersCard to inquire. (just to be safe)
(e) Once you get to Atlantic City, bring a printout of your Diamond Card (from the website) as well as your Total Rewards Number. Any Total Rewards Desk (Caesars, Bally's or Harrah's) will be able to verify your ID and print your Caesars Total Rewards Diamond Card.
(f) Don't forget your Aspiration bonus, of $100 F&B (pretty sure you can get this at a CZR-property kiosk once you have your upgraded card).
(g) Go to Borgata, and request the match (per the above post, bring the print-out, but Borgata is very good about these things).

Now, regarding the room at Borgata, I cannot promise this; but I do believe the introductory comp room can be used ANY DAY OF THE WEEK WITH availability. This is huge in AC in the summer, since a Borgata Saturday night goes for $200 to $600. You can probably book on the spot, your free night while you are in AC. Not sure of your "exact" timing; but there might be ways to optimize.
Michael, First off, thank you for this post. I would have never found it if it was for you. Second, I used your referral link for the Founders Card, using your code. Lastly, since this is my first time posting here, I used your userID when FlyerTalk.com asked me who I was referred from. Cheers!

Founders Club diamond status is good for Diamond Lounges, lines etc. It did not affect my free room comps (currently Plat TR). I have not seen any difference in my comp room offers.

It won't affect your comps--they are based on tier score, which reflects your actual play.
