That time of year again, the "Will they/won't they" renew the partnership. Still showing Jan 31, 2022 on the FC website. Strange that the speculation usually starts months before now. Any WAG's as to the next year's status???

That's because Caesar's tier status expires Jan 31. I haven't heard about anything changing, but hoping it does. I barely earned enough for Platinum last year so I'm dropping down from Diamond Plus.

We're lifelong "gold" card players at CET. FC was made for us, getting it at a discounted rate the last couple of years was just a bonus. I'm waiting to see what the "negotiated" rate is going to be this year. That is assuming the partnership is renewed. My FC membership doesn't run out until mid year, so I can make the call at that time.

Has anyone match Founders Card to Caesars Diamond in person?

Late night post, both Founders and Caesars are closed (departments I need) and Founders will be closed for MLK Day.

I got a free 6 month trial that includes the match. It says it takes up to 3x weeks and I am arriving on February 1st. I am curious to know if I can just match it in person at the caresars rewards desk. I'd like to take advantage of the waived resort fees as my stay is 4 nights.

Thanks!

I think most people see their match come through in 7-10 days. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere in the thread that you can't do it in person.

If you mainly-or-only got Founders Card for the Caesar’s benefits, it may have just gotten slightly less valuable since MGM properties are now waiving resort fees for Gold-or-higher in their Mlife program, beginning next month. Or…maybe not, since Mlife just significantly reduced their tier credit earning formula from 25-to-1 for non-gaming spend, to 4-to-1, starting on February 1. I’ve been Platinum in Mlife for the last four years. I’ll be Gold for 2022, and after that, everything is doubtful, since I’d have to spend $20,000 in hotel and restaurant charges with them this year to make Gold in 2023, and that financial output from me to them, simply won’t be happening.

We keep the FC for several reasons, the Caesars benefit being on of them. We are close to Tahoe and use the two hotels there as jumping off points for Skiing during the season, as well as hiking during the Summer. The free parking and waiving of resort fees more than offset what we spend on FC (we stay 10 to 12 times a year). Additionally, we make a yearly two week trip to Vegas for food and sightseeing in the Southwest. We are not interested in the perks that come with pure gambling, just running enough through to get comped rooms during the non peak times of the year. The diamond benefit we get through FC just saves us from having to sit in a smokey casino and pound buttons for hours.

Latest from FC website...

The Fine Print

Diamond upgrade valid through January 31, 2023 for FoundersCard Members in good standing. This upgrade does not include Diamond Plus or Diamond Elite benefits, and does not grant you tier credits.

I noticed that my caesars status became gold today. How should I extend it? From FC website, I only see way for existing Caesars Rewards Member to match the status for the first time.

Who cares if you get banned from CET properties for comped nights? Go to MGM, Boyd, stations, Circa, golden Nugget etc… where there is a will there is a way. If you want free nights in Vegas the best is also to learn to play craps and bet the don’t pass and learn how it works. You can have your theo, avg bet artificially pumped up.

new member here to share my experience thus far.
My wife recently got the FC free version (for one year) for CET Diamond.. i submitted her match request on 2/4 nothing yet.. I'm guessing the match timeframe could vary wildly.. I did resubmit my wyndham > CET match at the same time..that usually happens quickly..nothing yet on that... guessing CET is backlogged with match requests lol

Another data point: One of my friends did it in Jan. It took around 4 weeks to get the CET diamond (though their auto reply email said it would take <= 3 weeks).

A data point for founderscard to caesars diamond rematch(2nd time). I requested around Feb 4th. I just noticed it got matched today Feb 21st. Though from Founderscard website it says the online submission only applies to first time match, this is actually also what you should do with your re-match.

https://thepointsguy.com/news/caesar...atched-status/

Just found this article and it seems somewhat relevant here. There's no direct mention of Founders Card but anytime CET starts cutting status matches I get nervous. Granted, what they are stopping was a pretty ridiculous loophole. I just read it through once pretty quickly and don't see anything too concering. I'm curious if anyone sees anything?
