So there is no rhyme or reason if things get stuck in the submitted state? The best practice is to delete the file, start over, and submit in the morning Paris time?

I submitted my application at 10 am Paris time and received nothing past submission. Mrs. Majuki's application was a few minutes later, and she had her QR code in hand a few minutes later.

There doesn’t seem to be rhyme or reason, but I feel we have crowdsourced the optimal time for applying (6-9am CET). FWIW, my colleague got there this past weekend and never got his application out of the void. I spoke to him today and he told me his CDC card had worked in every restaurant and museum he’s gone to. There are also testing sites everywhere, including tents set outside of major venues. I would say don’t sweat it.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try again around 8:00 am CET. We'll be taking the train from London, so I wanted to make sure we don't have any problems getting to DOCS OK with Eurostar. It appears that vaccination proof in the form of a CDC card is sufficient for entry even if not necessarily permissible (but allowed in practice) for restaurants, bars, etc.

Thank you.

I deleted my original request and resubmitted under a new request and was approved within minutes. This process seems like a lottery. Either the request goes through the review in minutes or gets stuck in the submitted state in perpetuity.

How do you delete a request? I can't find the option other than edit. Thanks!

Does anyone know what the "normal" timeline is these days for submissions that are not instantly approved? That's a key data point.

I submitted two applications at 7:16 a.m. Paris time yesterday (a painful time of day for me) and have nothing to show for it except two "en construction" notations, which means that they've done absolutely nothing yet. And by the way, figuring out what they meant by an airline "ticket" (haven't seen one in 20 years) and "Moderna" (there were nearly a dozen "Moderna" choices) was no day at the beach either.

I was successful in getting 3 of the 4 processed within minutes of applying however, the 4th one has a status of "classes sans suite". Does anyone know what that means?

FallenPlat Oct 5, 2021 5:07 pm

Assuming that you mean "classé sans suite," and by analogy to French criminal law where it means that there has been a decision not to prosecute, my guess would be that no action will be taken with respect to that particular application, i.e., that it's dead. Maybe the system won't let you have more than a certain number applications going simultaneously. I would just resubmit it under a new profile and see what happens.

Last night my wife made her third filing. It was 6 AM paris time and in 5 minutes got her pass. it worked like a charm.. thanks for the help

It seems like if things don't move past the submitted stage within a few minutes that the application will just sit there in the submitted stage.

It probably sits there until it's manually looked at. Site is showing it takes about 3 weeks. Not sure what triggers an auto approval, but I guess we just need to be patient if not auto approved. My trip is Jan, so I'm done with the late night tries. Also, it appears CDC cards work everywhere.

Indeed the vast majority of reports I've been reading from Americans travelling in France indicate that the CDC card is universally accepted. However, the usefulness of getting an EU QR code extends beyond using it in France. Some hotels and restaurants in other countries (Portugal, Germany) seem to have interpreted the requirement for all guests to be vaccinated to mean that only a European certificate will be accepted, and the only alternative is a recent negative covid test. The last thing I'd want to do is show up at my hotel late at night and be told I can't check in without first getting a test.
