A restaurant in Rome asked for my green pass and they were quick to scan the QR code in my iPhone for this French pass.

for uploads, what does the bold mean?
Copy of identity document (valid passport)
Maximum authorized size 3Mo Authorized
format: PDF, PNG and JPEG

Maximum size allowed 3 MB
Formats allowed: PDF, PNG and JPEG

The French for "byte" is "octet". (There are eight bits in a byte.)

Just curious---are locations that want the QR code (museums, restaurants) also potentially checking ID and comparing it with the data read from the QR code? If not, then the PDF file with the code could be shared with others. So should one be prepared to show a passport whenever required to produce the QR code? or is there some other kind of security for the code?

And same question for the CDC card...

I’ve yet to be asked for Id.

Finally got our third account approved on the 4th try with the early morning method.

Submitted 6:42AM France Time
Approved 6:51AM France Time

The early morning Paris time request worked!

I received my QR code within 15 minutes when I applied last Thursday at 11:16am EDT (5:16pm CET). When my wife applied 2 hours later, it went into the void. I then applied for her the next day around the same time (11am EDT) by adding her application under my file, and still nothing happened. After reading the forum here and TripAdvisor, I stayed up tonight, it's Sunday night or Monday morning here on the east coast at 12:50am, which would make it 6:50am Paris time. I created a whole new profile and a new request. It was approved within 10 minutes.

It definitely seems random and automated, and the advice here seems to work. I've deleted the other two files.

Yay! Just got two passes issued in about 15 minutes. Whoever figured out doing it after 6am is brilliant. We had put our original requests in a month ago and leave Tuesday AM.

Has anyone gotten this to work for arrival dates a few months away? The website says that people can apply a few days before arrival. But given how probabilistic the system is, it would be nice to get it out of the way as soon as I have tickets, which I plan to purchase soon for a trip in December or January. (Of course I'm aware that the Covid situation and entry requirements could change dramatically between now and then, but they might not.)

From what I have seen, the arrival dates absolutely do not matter.

So this sanitary pass is complete bogus.

Yes, same account & same IP adrdress. If last night didn't work I was going to try a different IPA.

Agreed! Submitted applications for 3 people a few weeks ago for a trip scheduled for December. I had initially given up, but so thankful for all of the helpful information from this thread! I submitted new applications as suggested just after 7am CEST (1am eastern) this morning and all 3 were approved INSTANTLY. The only difference in my approach, besides the timing of my submission, was adding additional information in the "fait a" field. As mentioned earlier in the thread, I used the following format: "DD/MM/YYY HH:MM CEST City, State USA". So relieved to have this behind me and good luck to all still waiting--it's worth the late-night effort for those on the east coast!

Here's an odd datapoint:

Submitted first application at 11:36 pm MST October 3 (7:36 am Paris time, October 4). Nothing happened.
Submitted second application at 1:30 am MST October 4 (9:30 am Paris time, October 4)
In review 1:45 am MST October 4 (9:45 am Paris time, October 4) for the second application
Approved 1:47 am MST October 4 (9:47 am Paris time, October 4) for the second application

When I got up this morning, the first application still did not get reviewed.
