fyi - We arrive CDG Sunday, August 15, submitted our applications Monday, Aug 9 at 5pm, received immediate auto-replies they had been received, and we received our codes by 7am the next morning.
|
It seems like things have slowed down considerably. I wonder if they will continue to send out codes over the weekend or if we'll wait to wait until next week.

Aug 15 arrival, submitted Tuesday night USA, got confirmation in about 5 hours, nothing else since.

Submitted 8/12 for an 8/15 arrival. Got my automated confirmation email a few minutes after sending the email but haven't gotten anything back yet. At this rate it looks like I won't have anything by the time arrive at CDG.

If EU countries had enough vaccine to offer boosters to anyone willing to pay for them, it might be a way for people outside the EU to get EU vaccine passports.
Maybe have a requirement that visitors show proof that they got their second shot at least 6 months ago and are eligible for boosters and then you get a QR code with that booster and they're vetting your previous vaccination in one step. |

May I ask what Canadian applicants have been using as their “vaccination certificate issued in my name by the competent authorities in my country of residence”. There is as yet no Canadian document like the US CDC– though it has been talked about and recently promised for early Fall (whatever that means). I have a provincially issued printed document which gives my name, dob, dates of vaccinations, and name of vaccine.
Is this what Canadians are using? Successfully? My document does not contain the word Canada anywhere, just the name of the province! |

I first heard about this system while waiting on the plane (we had a 3-hour delay) in Newark, NJ - a fellow passenger told me about it.
So I got all the paperwork done on my phone, signed the form on the phone (drew on the PDF, since it was editable), and submitted it all Tuesday night (August 10th). I got sent back a "your files are too big" response, so resubmitted after shrinking down my passport photo. A few hours later, I got an auto-confirmation response. It's now Sunday August 15th, and I've not received anything back - so they had 2-3 weekdays to process it, and I've been in the country the whole time, no response. I leave to return to the US on the 23rd - I wonder if they'll even have processed it by then! :-( I wonder if I should resubmit - the auto email says not to, but I wonder... - Tim |

like all the people who sent in for dates in the fall despite the language suggesting you shouldn't
Do I have to wait until I arrive in France to send my application? No. You should send it as soon as you know your travel dates if you are arriving in France in summer 2021. There’s clearly a problem with their processing if people already in France can’t get codes within a short turnaround. |

That’s why the date of arrival is supposed to be in the subject line. There’s clearly a problem with their processing if people already in France can’t get codes within a short turnaround. |
