It really depends on the location and the amount of people. Was in Aix-en-Province yesterday at the market along Cours Mirabeau - quite crowded, mix of people masked and unmasked. Then the anti-vaccine demonstrators decided to march through the market (unmasked, of course). Lots of folks pulled on their masks and distanced themselves in response.

The wearing of a mask outdoors is (again) mandatory in many major areas, including pretty much most coastal cities/communes/départements along with major cities such as Bordeaux, Toulouse, la Corse, the major communes in the Alpes, the Meurthe-et-Moselle, etc...
List (actual as of 30 July) https://www.ouest-france.fr/sante/ma...6-ca65981ebc3b It's not so much we want to wear them outdoors, it's just we don't want a 135 € fine..... |

En régions Bourgogne-Franche-Comté et Centre-Val de Loire, aucune restriction supplémentaire aux règles nationales (port du masque dans les rassemblements, marchés, aux abords des centres commerciaux, dans les files d’attente…) n’a été prise. |

Not in the common sense regions. :)

That's because everyone's left those areas to take their vacations. Empty cities = lower rates of transmission = fewer restrictions needed.

Good news: they've opened the email addresses to convert foreign vaccination certificates to French QR codes.
Bad news: it's restricted to French citizens (for now). If you happen to be a French citizen, here is all the info: https://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/fr/le...rocedure-pour/ Of note to most people here, the FAQ states: Q: Je ne suis pas de nationalité française et j’ai besoin d’un passe sanitaire. A: Ce dispositif n’est pas ouvert aux ressortissants étrangers pour le moment, sauf pour les ayants-droit de Français. Surveillez diplomatie.gouv.fr. Q: I do not have French citizenship and I need a pass sanitaire A: This procedure is not open to foreign citizens for now, except for dependents of French citizens. Keep an eye on diplomatie.gouv.fr. |
We are headed to Paris on August 6th. We are planning to visit Disneyland, Versailles, Eiffel Tower and Louvre. Does anyone have any experience in these locations accepting the CDC card?
Also, has anyone been able to convert their CDC card to a EU QR code AFTER the pharmacies were told not to do so anymore? Thank you |

So far:
To be pedantic, the Louvre web site does not explicitly mention non-EU cards, although that's the only reasonable reading of their web site. Visit | COVID-19: advice for visitors (louvre.fr) Do they explicitly mention it somewhere else? |
Fontainebleau was satisfied by my CDC card today as well.

I have a 10 a hour layover on the 9th. im hoping I can just show my card to have lunch and dinner instead of getting tested at a pharmacy for a qr code.

Italy moving in the right direction. Hopefully will spur the French authorities to be equally specific / clear that foreign Certs will be accepted...
Link: Italy Now Recognises COVID-19 Passes Issued by 5 Third Countries The Italian authorities have announced that the country will now recognise the COVID-19 Certificates issued by five countries outside the European Union. Such a decision has been announced through the recent ordinance issued by the Ministry of Health on July 29, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports. As such, based on the new regulation, vaccination certificates, negative COVID-19 test results, and recovery certificates issued by the following third countries will be widely recognised in Italy:

The registration via email for French citizens (that’s me) is also only for those already in France or planning to arrive by August 31st. I’m arriving in early September so not pleased by that. No proof is required to justify date, but I always go by the rules so won’t lie on such documents. I think this is an interim process until they can automate it since they have limited physical resources to handles these documents. (50 people).

What about coming from Germany? Can I just show my CovPass app in place of the Pass Sanitaire ?
