We went to the Louvre today and despite what the website says they accepted the CDC cards. We got tested the night before so as not to risk it but the young couple ahead of us pulled out "CDC" cards. I asked them if they had seen the website update, they didn't understand any English unfortunately. I then noticed the paper was a different shade and was much thinner than all the ones I've seen. The guy checking waved them through and actually spent more time looking at our negative covid results which were in French.
Slightly annoyed we spent the money to get tested while people with almost certain fake cards got waived through, but I see why they are now asking for validation from the embassy.
On the positive side Paris is almost deserted of tourists. So it only took 10 minutes to get into the Louvre. Gone are the lines that wrap around and around.
