Maybe they cancelled the old ”duct-taped-LWA” when they saw Sir Wilco coming and replaced it with a brand new LWO

My general advice is not to acknowledge flight changes until you actually need to. It might be usable as a free refund/rebook voucher afterall.

Is a acknowledging a non-change (as in the screenshot) acknowledging a change?

As far as the computer is concerned, I'd think so. As for human staff, who knows.

Maybe not an IT-thing, more of an generic competence to target the "right" crowd...
I believe this is the first time since I became a member in 2009 they have target me for one of the Finnair branded cards.

The thing is... they raised the price for platinums by 50€ exactly one month ago. Also, they cancelled the card for swedish members, you now need to be Finnish resident in order to get any card.

But thanks for the tips to apply for a card I can't get, at a price of a premium card but without any benefits.

They are just preparing for the inevitable Finnish takeover of Sweden. Then you can have it.

Getting really fed up with the webpage looking for cheap long haul runs in J. After returning to the main page from the calendar popup or a booking screen, the class gets stuck in all/economy. I have to reset the dates completely, as well as click on "all" and then back to "business" for it to reset. Lots of useless clicking. And a few times when I have found something, it turns out the price advertised on the calendar popup isn't actually available and the actual prices are much higher.

Just go on. Its been like this a year or two and I have stopped complaining since any improvement they try to fix ends up being a negative enhancement

https://company.finnair.com/fi/toihin-finnairille Funny that AY has 11 open positions in IT :D maybe we see some improvements some day. Interesting to notice that all positions in Tartu, Estonia.

OH-LGG Jan 26, 2020 11:18 am

It's sad AY cant hire people in Finland but moving people and work to Estonia.

AY could easily fill all those vacancies it they would be prepared to pay proper salaries to experienced IT personnel with appropriate background.
Estonian wages are roughly 1/3 of Finnish salaries and you get what you pay for here.
Many of those positions will remain open for a substantially looooong time...

intuition Jan 27, 2020 1:13 am

Then is is even sadder, because then AY apparently does not view IT as a key element to success.
Or perhaps they actually are happy with current IT performance. I saw a slide from press material where they bragged about the new site increasing average order value by 20% (no mention of total revenue though...)
