I often sit in 1A/K and I like it, the only issue is that you have to share the overhead compartment with 1D/G as the pilot's crew rest is above them.
Any particular reason why avoid the bassinet row? Given if there will not be any infants in J on the flight, will there be any hindrances or issues on the seat itself?

8A/K is like 1A/K, more knee space with smaller footwell. 8D/G is close to closets that FAs love to open and close too. The curtains on the 77B(SFO only has these planes now) also don't do a good job of blocking out light(Perhaps it's because of the lighter color) for 8D/G so it can be bright!

The rest of the rows have identical sized footwells. Only the bulkheads have a smaller footwell.

Is the view from 25K totally blocked by the wing or is it still a worthwhile option if I opt for a window seat?

Does the 77B have a larger lav between the RL cabins? Seatguru shows it but the diagrams at the start of this thread do not.

Yes, on the left side of the plane.

As a *G, how easy is it to snag the exit row seats? Additionally, what kind of shot do I have for an op-up traveling the Friday before Christmas this year?

Op-up to Elite or RL? RL op up is basically impossible, they will op up Elite pax first. *G doesn't even matter to EVA except for lounge and priority baggage/boarding. The exit rows open up 72 hours prior and close 24 hours before, when OLCI opens.
Which route are you flying?

Are "all" SEA flights with the 77B? I'm flying out on BR023 in a little over two weeks? Wiki just states "daily" without specifying which (or all) flights.

Updated Wiki for you. BR23/24 has 77M service. BR23/24 service will be cut in April of 2018.

Thank you. Yeah did heard 23/24 getting axed. Glad I'll be able to fly the daytime flight long before they eliminate it.

To each their own I guess. I find the late night flight much more preferable as I actually have a shot at getting some sleep and the times seem much more conducive to dealing with jet lag, especially if you are connecting onward.
