Does that apply to non BR *G members?
No, they only give it to BR diamond and gold only over the phone. Otherwise, you have to get supervisor approval at the airport to switch.

BR 35 is using 77A aircrafts this week. Bassinet is available at seats 8A and 8K. Row 8 seats are always blocked and normally assigned on the day of departure. As you mentioned earlier, passengers with infant will have first priority on those seats. You may call and request 8A + 8D, they will put a note on your PNR. But seat assignments will be done when you check in.

You had best call and put a request down early. BR Diamond and Gold can easily snatch those seats away from you since they can easily get the call center to open up the seats for them.

T-24, not day of departure.

Do you need supervisor approval at the airport to get those seats if you are BR Gold/Diamond?

You can call ahead and ask for them if you are BR Gold/Diamond. They will open them up and give it to you within 48 hours. Sometimes, they won't give it to you because someone has already requested a bassinet. If you Facebook Message them, within 24hours, those seats are yours.

Just curious. A few weeks ago, I selected 3K for my BR35 flight to TPE which is in April. (And had printed confirmation screens). Yesterday, when checking my bookings, i noticed that I was now seated in 3G. I was able to switch back to 3K but wondering if it is normal for Eva to switch people from one seat to another without notice?

Technically they can switch your seating but they don't do that. I think it was probably a glitch after they did a massive update and overhaul of their systems.

They did that to my family on Elite seating. We booked on BR17 26 AB 27 AB. Then, they switched a newer plan (777 with 10 E seats) for that flight. There is no 27 seats. We got 26 AB and 25 AB...

That's a different case. That was because an eq swap led to a loss of one row of seats so they changed ur seating arrangement. His case was a random switch of seats and his original seat was still open.

Given the equipment swap I'd say that's the closest to the original seats you could get.

Window Seats on row 10 and 11

Taking BR 77W soon. Window seats in front section (row 1-7) are all taken for now. Window seats on row 10 and 11 are available. Previously I always sat in the front section.

Concerns of sitting on row 10 or 11:
1. Noise from PE.
2. Lavatory. This is new configuration 77B. Passengers in row 8-11 would either use the lavatory behind 6A or walk all the way to pass row 1 to use the other two.

Did you have good or terrible experience sitting in row 10 or 11?
Thanks!

Very minimal noise from PE. There is only noise if there is a baby in row 20 of PE. If you really care about walking a bit more, then select a middle seat. However, don't select row 6 or 7, galley noise during the meal service can be disruptive if you are still sleeping since they operate out of the middle galley for meals.

10A I suggest. DO NOT TAKE ROW 11 at all costs!

If noise is not an factor, constant walk in from the cabin behind with flight attendants accidently banging into your pod (creating noise making you turn around to check what was that) , and lack of service being the last row.

Bathroom is on the left side so if you take an right side seat in the mini cabin you're going to have to go through the alley every time while the FA's are hogging it.

Given my poor EVA experiences for an few years in an row now, the FA's will not make way for you until you tell them to. Very poor airline/service training.

Interestingly my experiences on BR 87/88 this month was the opposite of what you said. I took Row 11 rather than 10 (pure random selection, and only Rows 8/10/11 were available for my flights) and it was just fine. There were FAs walking back and forth without incidents, service were the same (they asked upfront when I would like to be served and meals were selected pre-flight). My only worry was about the PEY bassinet but there were no kids in the PEY section.
