If you're flying into TPE the LF is insane. I've done YYZ TPE so many times and the mini J cabin is empty. On my recent flight, every single darn seat was booked on BR35. I was stuck in mini J but the other half was beside me so that was OK.

YYZ TPE was typical. Low LF.

The supervisor approved 8K for me so all was good. Cabin was full because buy up was only 1k from IAH-TPE which I thought was cheap.

Lowest buy up i've seen was 1100 via UA. CA does bidding but it's not consistent.

According to another FT'er it's 70% but whenever I Fly it's fully booked. Idk why.

Average load factor for the whole plane is about 70%.
However, IAH is a premium heavy destination like SFO and is often full in the front.

Was this near departure date? I'm looking at getting 8A and 8D, though I should be able to get 8A after I ticket my infant ticket, but 8D seems to be blocked too, is 8D bassinet too, or how should I go about requesting for supervisor approval?

Travelling on BR35 in June 2017.

At check-in 3 hours before flight, they still need supervisor approval for Rows 1, 2, and 8. Maybe more but from what the supervisor was saying he first approved us at Row 2 and I asked for an bulkhead. Looking back, bulkhead isn't an diff since the foot wells are built into the galley equipment.

Bulkhead Row 1 & 8 is not open to regular members. Maybe for Diamond but I know they are blocked for all of us.

For me, it will be a matter of looking after my kids, don't want them to be too far away, plus bassinet seat for the infant, not so much for bulkhead.
