Haha - thank you JD. I try not to be envious and remain as Zen as possible focusing instead on hoping that I will at least get the class of service I have paid for and not be treated to an aircraft downgrade. This works ... well most of the time at least ... in keeping my BP normal.

flying EZE-DXB in January (i assume there's not many people doing that route on the J or F classes). We are 5 pax, flying Business class. Do you think there's any chance of getting an upgrade to F? First time flying EK so...

I'm flying EZE-DXB in Jan too. The flights I'm looking at are already more than half full in J and F (only 3 seats available)!

I would say chances are absolutely minimal for pax without status.

This was the return leg of our outward bound journey so a double up-grade. Chek-in steward didn't even tell us, just printed our boarding cards and handed them to me. It was then i noticed 6 E and F, yipee!

Think what you want. They hardly could manufacture a story that also enabled them to have a shower! The facts are what they are and this thread is, as I understood, is designed to reflect the varied nature of OP-UPs. Lucky or fluked it or whatever - they were fortunate I will grant them, but please don't accuse me of lying.

I am as intrigued as you. despite it being family I am still a little mystified. I wish I had more of a story or the magic wand they waved to get so lucky but I think it was just a freak incidence and I only wish for the same to happen to me in future!
