Unless those are NH miles, extremely unlikely you'd be able to. UA, for example, only allows booking segments operated by MP partners

With this news, how much longer can EL AL ignore the Manchester market where many locals from the Jewish population still wish to fly Isreal's airline rather than the British LCC's of Easyjet and now Monarch?

Israir adding charter flights to Sri Lanka

Isn't an Airbus A320 rather small for a flight from TLV to Sri Lanka?

New flights to Munich on TUI:

Really like the 7:25pm departure time on Thursdays - hope to be on that one a lot - not so much on the 1:20AM outbound from TLV...

OT, but can't help bringing this up again - See the Hilton website now that for HHonors members (free to join) for 2 adults, the "winter sale" is starting from 552.5 NIS per room per night, totaling 1105 shekels for 2 nights. When you search, it says 650 NIS per night, but when you acually click continue, it shows you an even lower, pre-paid rate for HHonors members. The refundable price without joining HHonors is 650 NIS per night.
Flights you can buy separate for cheap.

Moderator Note

Folks,
Please stay on topic. Hotel deals are good but not the point of this thread or the EL AL forum.

Thanks,

Aegean airlines increases to 20 weekly flights

http://www.israelhayom.co.il/article/348525

Aegean airlines will increase to 20 weekly flights from TLV. 10 flights a week to Athens, and 10 flights a week to Larnaca, Cyprus.

If they do I wouldn't be surprised. The strategy for this market needs to be around flying Israelis to places they want to go, not flying Eastern European tourists to Ovda.

This is complete madness, the demand just isn't big enough to justify UP + Aegean + Arkia on this route. Ultimately, they will all reduce their operations to a minimum at the end of the summer.

On a positive note, hopefully this finally frees up capacities for El Al to start operating UP flights to LTN.

While you may well be right, do you know what the loads are like?

Very doubt that's going to happen...

For anyone hoping over for business Aegean flight times are excellent.

You can fly out at 6am and have a whole day and evening there before flying back, or if you can make it back for UP's 18:15 departure from LCA even better.

Yup, looks good. I do wish there was a night flight to LCA to allow Shabbat in Cyprus, flying out Thursday night. But the times look good, and prices seemed decent.

Actually, by my count there will be five airlines flying from TLV-LCA this year:

1. Up
2. Arkia
3. Aegean - http://www.israelhayom.co.il/article/348525
4. Blue - http://in-cyprus.com/blue-air-spread...ngs-in-cyprus/
5. TUS - http://cyprus-mail.com/2015/12/08/bi...s-green-light/

That definitely seems like too much capacity to me, but I'll be happy to hop over there for a long weekend.
