Saw your other post about Bubble Tea in mango and lychee...we must be because those are my favorite flavors too!

Melt is also a nice sandwich shop around CLE. The price is a bit on the higher end but the portions are enormous (their cole slaw is amazingly crisp and bright) and, plus, they are a part of iDine so dining there can earn miles in many FF programs.

I already had one post but another poster said Avocado. It is wonderful. Lightly toast bread. Spread with butter (can you tell I am British - butter on everything?), thickly spread with Avocado, then a little mayo and freshly ground black pepper. Heaven

An artery-clogger, but Nirvana:

Sliced scratch made/good bakery crusty multi-grain sourdough bread toasted.
Crisp thick sliced pepper cured bacon
Sliced Heritage tomatoes topped with a bit of Dijon mustard
Sharp Cheddar cheese
A generous dusting of smoked Paprika
....then under the broiler until the cheese bubbles and begins to brown.

With a pint of cool Stout, Downton Abby on the TV or a Patrick O'Brian sea novel, and a comfortable chair, beats the hell out of most gourmet restaurants.

Goes glorious together..

I don't take too much on the black pearls..

Black pearls taste not too bad, just looks funny.. and sometimes they aren't soft.. not sure if its not fresh, or chilled from the low temperature..

Lychee seems to be pretty consistent and tasty..

My first time in Jersey Mike's today and ... wow, I'm impressed. One of the best sandwiches in a while. Maybe I got lucky, as the wheat bread had just finished baking, and the roast beef was just finished slow cooking a few minutes before. Had the Club Sub "Mike's Way" minus mayo, plus their hot cherry pepper relish.

My new go-to sandwich.

I like the soft squish of the just right pearls just as one begins to bite into them. So good.

If you enjoy the bubble teas, you may like fresh lychee also. They can be found seasonally in Asian supermarkets (I think in fall and winter). The good ones are brightly colored red-pink with the rind being unpunctured and slightly soft, faintly fragrant. Peel the rind away and the lychee is incredibly sweet and juicy inside! There is a seed also that can be bitter if bitten through; however, lychee is one of my favorite fruits.

To good eats and delicious sandwiches everywhere.

Haha, the frozen pearls are "distinctual"? I don't think I've eaten pearls that undercooked but I may have to try this summer. Thanks for the idea.

Some shops, like in Chinatown/Asian grocer's, also sell packaged boba pearls that come frozen. Homemade bubble tea is nice but, what can I say, I'm lazy.

Not sure if its undercooked, but it seems the pealies are frozen under the weight of freeze when the drink is produced.. but is it undercooked?
