Should have bought it when it was on sale a week ago in the Costco flyer.

Theyre big sausages. 7 were a bit over 2 pounds in my package.

It all goes in one pot. The extra garlic kielbasa lends its flavor to everything. I’ll have to take a picture next time. The sausages are huge, maybe as much as one and a half to two inches in diameter. Meat is ground and stuffed in the back of the deli and sold at $7-9 a pound depending on variety. They just cut off a hunk depending on how many pounds you ask for. I should take a picture of the case at the deli. It’s heaven for any sausage lover. They also make cabbage rolls that look tempting. I bought a couple smoked Hungarian sausages as well for this weekend.

I did buy it for that promo sale. Expired 5/9. My child had one last night for supper with a raw veggie tray.
in fact these sausage sales are now officially blocking me from buying Evergood until its on Costco sale. I will just wait. Im in zero hurry and Ive nowhere to go. Current sale is over aidell spicy mango chicken which I refuse to buy. Zero chicken sausage for me - Ill just cook my own Costco chicken thighs!

Aren't most sausages really high in sodium?
I love chicken sausage...especially chicken and apple but that mango sounds good too.

I have my degen poker play date tonight so will make the Nyt Southern Macaroni & Cheese (that I made in April) for my family before I exit. There’ll be enough for leftovers for a few days - it’s 1 pound of cheddar and 1/2-lb of Colby Jack. Plus 2 cups milk and 2 eggs.

My poker play date host will have pizza or indian. If the host doesn’t have food then I’ll order pizza with a lot of pepperoni. I’m bringing edible candies - $24.80 for a canister with 20 PCs, each with 5mg.

I grew up on souffle style and that NY Times recipe sounds too bland with both Cheddar and a Colby Jack. To me, substituting part Fontina, Havarti, and/or even Velveeta would make it more appealing in a souffle style Mac and Cheese for texture, but I'd likely use three eggs too.

Gruyere for the win. The Martha Stewart version is my all-time favorite and the only one I make now. I tried the NYT and you are correct; far too bland.

I thought that too...both of those cheeses are the same taste to me. I love gruyere in M&C but also with you on the Havarti ...maybe gouda.

Thanks too you both. I thought something looked "off" to me. No disrespect to the recipe or the cooks.

The "Andy Reid" version doesn't include eggs, but has six cheeses.

baking the Mac & cheese now before I broil the remaining cheese on top. Im excited for my poker degen play date. Im really hungry - Ive eaten 1-2 carrots and I can really feel the hunger. Ill have some of this before I exit.

Im sure these cheeses are bland and the overall dish is a hit with my family. Remember, we are eating RAW vegetables with it. Theyre not even seasoned. We eat really simple things.
Im using tillamook medium cheddar. I had a piece on Friday during my parent chaperone day and I really liked it! Im tempted to have some now.

I love the Reid and can imagine cheese fun. The eggs are part of this nyt recipe for sure.
