Sautéed chicken breast with onions and garlic then lemon and spices added. Garlic roasted potatoes with herbs that I just threw in with the chicken to get the juice.

The other pot had a mixture of mushrooms in garlic and roasted onions with herbs.

Have to say, had great morel mushrooms at a resto last night, they tasted sublime. Today found some at my local veggie place, but those commercially grown mushrooms have zero taste. It was good that the other kinds gave it a bit of a zest.

I liked your salad. Not an avocado man myself ... but those tomatoes were small and sweet and a definite thumbs up for the radish!

Just being buying some expensive olive oils for the summer.

Thanks, I am told that I make great salads but my dressing is the best. There was some fennel in there as well.

I've been a member of an olive oil club for about 3 years now. You pay an annual fee for a set number of bottles and they are delivered approximately every 3 months. They are sourced from all over the world depending on the quality of the harvest in any given year. It's quite a small operation but the quality of the oils I have received is nothing short of eye opening. They also do wonderful balsamics. I don't work for them or have any interest in the company but I can thoroughly recommend them to any food lovers.

Max and I had several run-ins over the years.I always knew he was a prick but size never came into it.

At Golden Bell Vietnamese Restaurant in Calgary on Macleod Trail yesterday. A mistake order brought me out a dish I've never seen before and I decided to try it. It was a red curry fried rice and drumstick/thigh crispy piece of chicken. I side ordered a piece of pork chop and a curry broth. It was actually pretty delicious. Just a bit lack of vegetables.

Lovely idea.

I'm boring. I love buying them while away and also reading the descriptions etc.

I used to enjoy doing that but learned that whilst all oils have a use by date, very few have a date indicating when it was bottled (and that's the really important bit!). As oil ages you lose a lot of flavour and when tasted it gives you a greasy texture in the mouth. The oils they send me are very fresh and do not feel at all "oily" in the mouth.

I do agree though, rummaging around old family deli's in Spain and Italy etc is a wonderful pastime!

Met my Dad for breakfast at Another Broken Egg Cafe. Had two pancakes, two scrambled eggs with cheese, two strips of bacon and OJ and Coffee AND he paid.

He did complain my OJ cost $4 though

My lovely youngest kiddo treated me to a classic diner breakfast...

Homemade corned beef hash, two perfectly poached eggs, sliced fresh tomatoes, buttered rye toast and coffee. Yum.

Thinking about tempura and sashimi for dinner...
