Giving up, renting a car instead
Such a simple task...
I had a rental car to drive St. Louis to Chicago this weekend. Today, Delta fares dropped from $315 to $198, so I decided to fly!
Tried to book STL-ORD, 2/25 through 3/02/11 via ATL, because I prefer the MD88. Kayak has it for $203. Departs STL at 12:45p, flight 2777. Via Kayak, I click thru to Delta but cannot complete purchase.
So I spent 45 minutes on delta.com searching all options and cannot find these flights!!! All flights STL-ORD on delta.com only offer connections via CVG, DTW, MSP, MEM, etc. I tried searching by schedule, booking class, everything. I even tried multi-city searches and realized I simply cannot book this ticket.
I'm going back to my rental car and will enjoy the 5 hour drive.
Delta, your website cost you $203 today.

Credits Page "Sorting"
Within DL.COM on the "Credits" page of your profile, the "sorting" seems to be inconsistent.
When sorting by Expiration date, the page doesn't seem to use the selected column as the "top level" sort. Rather it seems to sort randomly..

This is true for most of the other columns except for "Status" (Open/Closed).
Not a big deal, but it is odd..

impossible routings

The routing it was giving me for this option was CHO-ATL-LHR/MIA-LHR, with the MIA-LHR leaving after I've already departed on ATL-LHR (hence the negative layover).

flights don't exist? yes they do!
I'm trying to look at possible trips CHO-BOS-CHO for April using a simple roundtrip search. Two things:
1. No matter what I do, I can't get delta.com to show me options by price for this particular search. I can get options by price if I use RIC/DCA/IAD.
2. After I select the outbound portion of the trip, the search engine breaks and informs me that there are no scheduled flights between BOS and CHO. But there are plenty of daily routings available, so it seems as if the search engine was looking for a direct BOS-CHO segment (which it shouldn't be doing because it doesn't exist).

flexible weekend searches
After seeing the available options for a particular set of flights chosen from the flexible weekend search calendar, clicking the "my dates are flexible" link in the panel to the left of the search results should bring back up the calender. But instead, I just get error messages:

Since the original search was DCA-JAN for weekends in May and I followed a link to the calendar from the search results page, the fields should be filled with my original search parameters. It's really annoying to have to enter it all in every time. Also, if I change the departure city and search again without leaving this page, I sometimes still get the results of my original search, even though I'm asking for flights that leave from a different city.
Finally, it would be nice if the booking engine was smart enough to return options from a flexible weekend search that include departures on the last day of the month, instead of just showing those dates as "not available" when they are (e.g., departing R 3/31 and returning Sun. 4/3 in a search for weekends in April)

Skymiles Award Tickets not available via Delta.com
Just spent a very frustrating afternoon trying to find ANY award ticket from CLT to NCE, MXP, FCO, or VCE on any date departing from mid-June to mid-July and returning any date from mid-July to mid-August, and always got the "We're sorry, there are no flights matching your request." I tried multiple browsers (Safari & Firefox) on both my laptop and desktop.
Now, I know I am very late booking this (my wife has let me know it), but I figured SOMETHING had to be available...I'm not talking about just not finding any of the lowest tiers, I am talking about NO tiers being available, including business...
So I tried every date in December and January...still no dice!
Called the magic number, and the agent had multiple days of availability (whew!), and - before I booked it - we ran an experiment where I searched for the days he listed as being available....
"We're sorry, there are no flights matching your request."
Infuriating, yet - somehow - strangely affirming....

Re-booking disrupted flights
I've noticed a recent separation of class paid/flown. If you receive an upgrade and your flight is disrupted, when you try to re-book you are only shown flights based on the class paid - which means no matter what you do, you will not retain your upgrade and be placed back into the upgrade que if seats are available. Prior to the class paid/flown seperation, if you were upgraded and your flight was disrupted, the search would look for other flights in first so you could keep your upgrade.
Not sure if it this is a bug or intentional programming, but it really hurts when there are flight delays or disruptions. Elites are thrown to the back of the bus twice - one for the disruption and then again by loosing your upgrade becuase the search for a replacement flight is based on calss paid. Why not change the search to be by 'flown' so the search would offer flights to keep your upgrade and also coach availability?

I am finding it impossible to do a search by schedule with the "improved" Delta.
Searching by schedule returns flights in a random order by departure time even though I select sorting by departure time.
If you have many more than 20 flights there is no option to display them all on one page so you can do your own sorting that delta.com seems unable to do anymore.
Selecting page 2 or 3 or 4 of the results does no good because Delta.dummer reverts to "Best Match:" whatever the heck that is (I've set the search parameters to the time of day departure I want, but it puts on the first page flights with departures at COMPLETELY different times of day.
Also, every time I try to redo the search, the website automatically resets every darn parameter of my search.
What did you do with the NW programmers Delta? They really did a good a job of fixing things like this and making the site more user friendly.

Default search options frequently only display a handful of possible flight options... and even sometines one or none even though dozens of others are available. I can only find these by selecting search by schedule.
Search by schedule is broken:
Picking times doesn'often doesn't actualy display a flight that is within 30 min of the time selected. Have to choose a time a couple hours away to get the desired flight to appear
Selecting fare type 'discounted coach' doesn't work, always returns lowest fare.
Using book by fare bucket doesn't work, often either returns errors or just restarts the search at default price options when you select the last flight of the itinerary if it is multicity.
Award tickets are broken:
Simply clicking on the 'change flights' of an award ticket will cause it to be canceled even if you do not follow through with making the change or exit out. The flight vanishes from your itineraries and you don't get the miles back... a call to delta results in the agent saying the flight was canceled by you and then numerous back and forth and time spent to get it reinstated.
P fares broken Amex reserve first class companion cert:
If you search for a flight by class and select first/biz and it comes up with P fares instead of A (which is quite common now since DL started selling P), then trying to use a companion ticket results in the system returning fares that are around 2x the price of the P fare which makes the companion cert worthless.

Apologies if this has been covered already- I did a search in the thread for a few key words and didn't find anything...
When I go to Itineraries and Check In and click on the confirmation # for an upcoming trip (I only have one upcoming trip), the Itineraries and Check In screen reloads but I receive an error:
Return shortly to Itineraries & Check-in and try your request again.
If the problem continues, Message # 999
(the link is the exact webpage I'm being referred to, which appears to not exist)
The flight I'm trying to check is an award trip that is partially on Air France, and I recently selected my AF seats using the AF website. Ever since I chose my seats on AF (about a week ago), I've received this error and have been unable to review my trip on Delta.com (although I'm not actually sure if the two are related). I've cleared out cookies and browsing history and still receive the same error.
