Also, in addition to my previous one, I've noticed something else odd. I have an upcoming flight this week that was purchased through Delta, but on NWA metal. After being notified of an upgrade, Delta wouldn't "hold" the seat I kept selecting in first, (kept moving it to a different seat in first). So went to the NWA site and was able to select the seat I wanted.

Now, that in of itself doesn't surprise me, but what is funny right now is, between the two sites right now they don't agree as to which seat I have. Between the two sites, it looks like I have two first class seats with one ticket. Wonder if I can get double the miles? Hopefully the NWA site selected seat will win out as it is the one I want....

I just had this happen on Wednesday. The seats selected at nwa.com did stick.

This is the way that it happens right now and the seat showing on nwa.com will be your seat.

About Delta's website

Hi guys,
I recently booked an award ticket (LAX-ATL-BNA roud trip with 77L) on their website. However, whenever I click on "redeem miles now" button, webpage doesn't show anything. It's just blank. I refreshed the page and tried with another computer many times, but it's still blank.
Is it normal or they're having some kind of temporary technical problems?
Is there anyone who has or had a same problem before?

The situation regarding schedule changes seems to have become worse--not better.

In the past you would get the message in RED that there had been a schedule change--you would see both the old and the new flight info. You then had to call SMS to get them to "clean up the record." This was annoying enough and my understanding at the recent RWT stuff was that the problem was being addressed and, even some indication, that it had already just been fixed.

Now, however, my wife had two itineraries where there were schedule changes and I had one--and the only way we were alerted to this fact was that we weren't even able to open the record--each time it would say the system was unavailable. A call to online support "cleaned up" the records and I can see them again. Still, this is a step in the wrong direction--not the right one--you couldn't even compare the old to the new.

I use Windows XP and IE 8.0.6001.18702.

I have a reservation with a schedule change and I can open and see both the new and original flights, designated in red. However, the changed flight is on 9 Oct and the original flight shows up in between two return flight scheduled for 11 Oct, but is dated 9 Oct. So in other words, it does not show up in the list correctly.

I am on a MacBook Pro, Firefox 3.5.

Also it did take quite a while for the list of itineraries to load. I thought my computer had frozen.

500 + 500 linked accounts miles

It appears there has been a "fallback" on the https://www.delta.com/skymiles/manag...unts/index.jsp page for linking accounts.

1. "The Link Accounts" 500-mile bonus (9P SM WP LKBNS) [and perhaps the less-documented additional 500 miles (9P SM WP LKBNS)] will still apply past 4/15/09 until 7/31/09, per an email sent out and
https://www.delta.com/skymiles/manag...unts/index.jsp Note that transferring miles will not be required
Offer: Members of the SkyMiles and WorldPerks programs may link their accounts and receive a one-time mileage bonus. To be eligible for this offer, the member will need to complete the linking process application on delta.com between January 29, 2009 and July 31, 2009. Bonus miles will post the member’s SkyMiles account 4-6 weeks following the end of the promotion, July 31, 2009.

However, the page now reads April 15, 2009 again as the end date.

2. The http://www.nwa.com/worldperks/almt/v...m.linkFFaccts/ accounts properly pops up with the information for both accounts, and then when the "Validate" button is clicked, it goes to https://www.nwa.com/worldperks/almt/linkandtransfer and you are asked to transfer at least 1 mile. Above it said that was not necessary. So, my husband never got 500 + 500 credit, as the Skymiles email response was that his accounts WERE NOT LINKED.
.... So I just transferred 5 miles and sent them back ANOTHER email to get this fixed.

Please fix both 1) the dates and 2) the link-without-transfer process.

NOTE: https://www.nwa.com/worldperks/acctlink/ on NWA states properly for #1 above,
"Link your accounts before July 31, 2009 and earn Bonus Miles in your SkyMiles account. Refer to the terms and conditions for complete details"

HOWEVER, #2 is the same link and only lets you transfer miles.

You may have to coordinate with your NWA.com counterparts on this one.

This may belong in the 1024 thread but since 1024 is live I guess it can go here.

It always really bugs me when the mini-calendar pops up automatically when you're entering search criteria for a ticket. Newsflash Delta: a lot of people are keyboard users, hate the mouse and really can't stand those automated, useless mini-calendars popping up.

But 1024 has made this even worse now. The calendar is so big you can't see ANYTHING you're typing in the date fields.

Fix this, please. I'd prefer if you just got rid of the auto pop-up calendar and, instead, hid it behind a button the mouse user has to click on. Or, at least make it much smaller so it doesn't block the text field you're actually typing in!

i'd be willing to bet that 95% of delta.com users are using the pop-up calendar and not the keyboard to enter dates, and if that is the case it would not be in the overall interest to put it behind another mouseclick. alas there's really no way for us to know (unless we had those kind of stats ... )

While that might be true, the old interface allowed one to simply tab through the fields and enter the dates manually. No muss, no fuss. Now, the pop-up actually obstructs keyboard entry, which seems to be a strict decrease in functionality.

I logged into my SkyMiles account today, July 21, and noticed that my SkyBonus number and my date of birth were no longer in my account profile. I don't know when this happened, but I consider this a glitch, unless this is a regular occurrence. I had re-enter both.

And this is a recurring glitch: periodically I have to choose my seating preference, because it changes to no preference. Why is that?

If you don't get your money back in short order, after a single phone call, I would guess this is a pretty simple thing to chargeback. You paid three times but only received one actual product, and you have the documentation to back it up.

Seat selection not possible

I have trouble selecting my seats after purchasing a ticket. When I am on IE, I can't see any seat selection button anymore, however it does work on FF.

This happened to me twice this morning.

I reached the confirmation page for a roundtrip flight. Say fare was $500. When I press Purchase, the site says that the fare has changed to say $200, and prompts me to confirm whether I want to continue the purchase at the new fare. I confirm the purchase --- site says Purchase is complete, and shows the complete roundtrip itinerary, and fare charged --- $200.

BUT the confirmation email shows only the return trip. The saved itinerary on Delta.com only shows the return trip as well. So it seems the fare change was due to me being charged only for the return trip.

First time it happened, I called in and the agent says she can also see only the return flight. SO it was just cancelled. I began to doubt whether it was my mistake. But then it happened again, and now I have a PDF of the confirmation page showing the complete roundtrip itinerary.
