Your options are limited, unless some Delta has a sale after Xmas. I was able to snag a 199 fare to MSP (1807 miles) but I got flamed for it due to the high cpm but no matter, I get to keep my status with redeemable miles.

I also saw 138 round trip to CLT but that is all gone. Since Delta has extended the buy MQM offer through 12/30-you can wait till the last minute/

Keep an eye on these routes...

ATL-PHL 1330

ATL-LGA 1522

ATL-MSP 1807

Question 17,000 MQMs short of Gold

Hi everyone - I'm currently Silver (Boo, hiss) on DL and had the crazy idea of seeing what I can do in the next 3 days to get Gold status by purchasing the miles. I have a trip in two weeks to Venice on Delta (codeshare run by AF) so it'd be nice to be Elite Plus for that. I'll probably fly 3-5 times in 2012 for work as well. Anything I can do or am I too far away from the next level?

Thanks.

Well the most you can buy is 10k so you will still need a significant MR to make it.

Thanks, that was my thought so wanted to confirm. Appreciate the help.

With rollover, I guess I still only need 17,000 more in all of 2012 to get Gold, correct? I'll get about 75% of that in January alone if that's the case.

It's Simple

Its simple but could be expensive.

Book a ticket that has at least 1/3 of the miles you need and then soimply purchase the elite maximizer triple miles that are Elite qual miles..

alternatively buy the elite max on the ticket yuou currently have.

The miles qualify for status ELITE MAXIMIZER co to DL site and ask alex in upper right corner just type in Elite maximizer.

Problem solved but can be expensive.

With rollover, you will be 17,000 away from re-qualifying for FO, and 42,000 away from GM.

No unfortunately you will roll over anything over 25K (8k) and you will then need 42K to hit Gold. You only roll over miles OVER 25K (Your current medallion level).

Thanks. Makes sense. Pretty new to this whole FF perks thing, never really paid attention to it until I got FO.

What he said, it would be pretty expensive to get 17K in less than 4 days. Let the miles roll over and go for GM next year with an 8K head start, good luck
