1/5 lga—atl upgraded at gate
2/26 - atl-lga upgraded right at 5 day window
both connecting to (or from) Brazil so sadly no upgrades there. Paid d1 upgrades gru-atl and atl-gru are only $500 or 50k miles though so considering I paid for this flight solely with a gift card purchased with miles, I couldn’t pass it up. I’ve got some short domestic travel coming up in the next few weeks and as of now first is wide open on all of them.

I've flown between JFK and LAS 6 itns, 100% success rate for upg to D1. For some trips when I tried to change my seat (from C+ to D1), the D1 seat is listed as FREE (even though they want me to pay $965
), for the others I've been #1 or #2 on the upg list = gate upg..

3/13 SEA-HNL and 3/16 HNL-SEA, both upgraded at Diamond/Plat window. Not surprising given that they are flying an A330 on these routes and there were 24-25 open seats.
I picked up these tickets for 17K Skymiles roundtrip during a recent flash sale. Quite happy getting 12 hours in a lie flat seat for 17k miles.

Light travel year thus far, just took our first trip at end of Feb. In Las Vegas this weekend, got upgraded to FC with companion literally 30 seconds before boarding. Upgraded to first for the return flight at the 5-day window.
Next trip is SEA-HNL-LIH in April and got confirmed D1 upgrades with companion at booking with two expiring RUCS. Probably would have cleared CPU due to fairly empty cabin, but didn't want the RUCs to go to waste.

Upgraded FC day prior RDU to JFK on 10 Mar.
BINGO!!!! Upgraded FC JFK to FCO on 11 Mar. Nice steak meal upon departure, and quiche breakfast prior to arrival.
No joy returning FCO ATL to RIC following day.
DL Platinum status, a smile and asking nicely still worthwhile!

3/15 DL 2491 LAX-BOS 737-800. U Fare: Main Cabin to First.
This route was downgraded from a 757 with BE to a 737 with domestic First, but I'd take it nonetheless.
Sadly the trip had to be postponed the day before due to Covid-related reasons. Booked for April which will be 3 weeks since my second dose so no required quarantining or testing in Massachusetts like I would've had to do on this originally booked trip.

Booked a ticket day before yesterday for a trip next Monday, PDX-SLC-OKC. DM on a B fare, 7 days out. Checked the "upgrade list" in the app once the ticket was issued & it was showing one available seat in First on the first leg. Just for fun I looked again at 8am this morning - two hours after the 5 day window opened. No upgrade, still showing 1 on the upgrade list, EF showing J1 C1 D1 I1 Z1.
Just looked again, 4 hours later (6 hours inside 5 day window), and I am now showing an OU upgrade into 5C. Upgrade list shows 0 now, and EF shows J0 C0 D0 I0 Z0.
So, I just seem to have gotten a Medallion upgrade into the last open seat, five days before departure. I hope nobody was planning to WFBF on short notice!
That puts me at 25/25 so far this year. There are still 2 available on the 2nd leg, so I am hoping to keep the streak alive!
