Of course, this is always the case, you never see yourself on the upgrade list until you're checked in.
I'm not able to check-in online as the airport agent need to verify documents for international leg. My name is not showing in the upgrade list in the app. Is check-in required to get confirmed day of departure D1 complimentary upgrade?

I booked a last minute Y fare. $1100 one way.
There were 0 C+ and 0 F seats available for upgrade, but we always hope for a no-show or missed connection.
With a Y-fare, DM, Reserve Card, and an applied RUC, I should have been 1st on the upgrade list down to the 5th tie-breaker. Upon check-in I noticed I was third.
I tried calling the DM line to confirm their system was working properly because I've been the "victim" of a wonky upgrade list and rogue gate agent processing the list incorrectly.
The DM line could not offer any insight. I tried asking at the check-in counter and got the same condescending tone about how the upgrade list works. I tried explaining that there are only two possible reasons I'm not 1st: 1) There are two other Diamonds, who bought Y-fares, have the reserve card, and applied the RUC before me (highly unlikely), or 2) It's a pair of 360s.
In the SkyClub, I found an extremely knowledgeable agent who did confirm it was a 360 traveling with a companion.
Nobody got the upgrade and I sat in the back along with the 360s. :-)
