For longer flights, I just bring a tablet and start watching a TV show after the safety briefing. Usually finishes up just as they're finishing the post-10k feet announcements and then I can switch to seatback IFE with minimal interruption.

On the occasion I luck on to short flight with IFE, I just leave it on live TV or the moving map. No point in attempting a movie.

I hate when I can't find an FO to carry my bag onto the plane. Unacceptable.

I'm afraid Delta discontinued that with their latest enhancement.

It's not Reasonable- I know

The "I need to board 1st guy" adds to chaos by making other people feel they need to cue up and blocking pre-boards & wheelchairs

AA seems to do fine with no preboarding on some of their flights

* the existence of children and the fact that it's still somehow legal to bring them on an airplane or anywhere else I might have to see/hear one
* I can't live through this 45 minute flight without a seatback screen (even though there's wifi delta studio on this flight)

When I arrived at JFK, my flight was F6 Y0. The GA said it was overbooked by 1, but, he probably wouldn't need vols due to a misconnect . . . .

So, during boarding, I hear 1A chatting with 1C - the knee jamming seat offender . . . .

Oh, I got "upped" without my husband here to see it . . . . la dee dah . . . . 1A asked for CHAMPAGNE!! on a CR9!!!

I think there were SIX kettle gate upgrades . . . . who don't understand that, when a seat doesn't recline any more, THAT'S IT!!!
