"Rollerboard" (or even "Roller Board", "Roller-board" etc)

Doesn't make sense logically or linguistically. Sets my teeth on edge

It makes sense as a corruption of roll-aboard. Not that it makes it any less annoying

Not long after I joined FT I created a thread showing pictures of a (real) rollerboard and a roll-aboard suitcase. For some reason it was closed less than two weeks later instead of being stickied on the main forum page.

that was hilarious!

I suspect the mods killed it off because it had devolved into this thread's predecessor (i.e., wasn't relevant to "Travel Products") and they didn't want to move it again ...
