On my last two D1 routes (DTW-CDG), the pasta meal was unavailable. Pre-selection will be a great benefit. Look forward to choosing on my late June departure.

Agreed. All flights should be consistent. That is Delta's biggest problem.

Thankfully it is supposedly coming to all flights by the end of the year. Not sure why it’s taking so long but at least it’s coming.

On my first TATL flight, I was denied my first choice. So, it does happen. DL also sees a benefit of pre-ordering in that they know how much of each meal they need to cater as well. I did it a couple years ago on CI and liked it.

I do agree it would be nice to have in domestic F as well. But, for me, it's been SEA - SJC and if I don't like the options, I'll be fine for the next 2 hours.

I've got ATL-AMS before Jun 1. Is this route currently on the pre-select program? Is Dine and Rest still an option and available for pre-selection? I've been mostly flying SkyTeam partners internationally the last several years, so I'm a little behind on the current offerings.

I believe that it is a pre-select route currently. There is really no reason why you need to select dine and rest ahead of time as you can just tell the FA before hand that you pre-orderd and would like the “express meal service.”

Apparently JFK-AMS is in the pre-select program. I'm flying on Thursday and just received this email:

ShopAround, Select Your Delta One® Meal Before You Fly

We want you to have the best experience on board, so we’re launching a new program on select flights for valued Delta One customers that allows you to select your entrée before your upcoming flight.
We invite you to view the menu and select your meal up to 24 hours before departure.

When I click on the link, these are the options:

According to the T&C, it is. I just pre-selected for my JFK-AMS flight on Thursday and the routes are under the T&C on the confirmation page after I made my choice.

Anyone have any experience using this on code shares? I’m booked on a SEA-AMS flight next month. Reseration is on the KLM codeshare - actual flight is operated by DL. Curious if I’ll be able to do this.

Effective June 1, Pre-ordering expands to several TATL and TPAC markets. Just a matter of time before all Intercontinental routes will have pre-ordering available. I have ATL-AMS on June 11; I'm (mildly) curious to see this in action; however I thought the email notification came out six days in advance; is that the experience of others?

Looks like Code Shares aren't a problem. As mentioned, flying DL metal SEA-AMS on a KL codeshare flight number. Got the email asking about meal selection three days prior to the flight.
