I would doubt it, but if you look in the "let's eat: what's being served 2018" thread here, you'll find a link to the delta.dumb website page that lists the routes that currently do the meal preselection,

A wiki here would be useful so maybe when you find the information you can post it for everyone.

On DL 119 CDG-BOS this Thursday... no email about menu selection as was received on the origination in BOS.

Catering never loaded the confirmed special meals on my last two flights. So, I don't have much confidence that this will ever work on domestic flights.

Dtw-icn and nrt-dtw d1 - follow up

Just returned from DTW-ICN and NRT-DTW in D1 - selected Korean meal outbound and Japanese meal on return via the special meals option weeks before my trip . When pursers handed me a menu , I remarked that I had selected the meals via special meals and both pursers looked at their manifest and duly noted that the requests were shown and loaded . On outbound DTW-ICN , one of the newer pre-selection routes , I did not receive email asking for pre-order though I suspect that was because of the special meal request. Both meals were quite good.

On PDX-NRT flight both Mrs. P and I pre-ordered Japanese meals. Advised FA, who noted there were a lot of diamonds on flight. She is PM and didn’t get the Japanese meal - they had run out when she got served. We were in 3A and 4A on a 7 row D1 configutpration.

We’ll send a complaint to DL when we return.

Did the FA acknowledge that you had placed a pre-order, or state that they did not have a record of that?

If the FA's response to you stating that you had pre-ordered a special meal was simply that there were lots of DM's, that's a problem. DM's might be given first choice of meals among pax who did not order a special meal, but a special meal that was pre-ordered should not have been given away.

I'm trying to understanding if the FA clearly understood what you meant or thought that you were just asking for a Japanese meal.

Our pre-selected meals were mentioned and acknowledged by the pursers of both DTW-PVG and PVG-DTW.
Here was the DTW-PVG leg email with options. The PVG-DTW leg had to manually go in and request the Chinese meal, good thing too cause they ran out.

Mentioned to purser we both orders special meals. He replied there were a lot of DM’s on the flight. He knew but someone screwed up.

We are 72 hours out flying SLC-AMS and we haven’t received an email to preselect. Will be very disappointed - can you call Delta about this to place an order?

I would assume yes because when you select a meal to preorder, there's some statement that you can call DL to change the choice up to 24 hours before departure.

For what it's worth, my last four flights have all had confirmed special meal requests. None were catered. This doesn't bode well for Delta's expansion of pre-ordering on domestic flights.

Could pre-select my meal as expected on my last JFK-BRU flight. However when arriving at my seat there was no D1 menu in my assigned seat (saw menu's at other D1 seats). The reason why; 'but you have ordered a pre-select meal' eeeuhh?

The wife and I experienced something similar and my wife asked why we did not receive any menu and the FA's response was it our way of remembering who has pre-selected their entree and who has not. She said that since everything is the same for all passengers, appetizer, salad, soup, bread, etc. why bother with a menu as no other selection is required.

My wife said well I like to know what I am eating, which must have struck the FA as funny because she giggled and said fair point and brought my wife a menu which we shared.

Did you explain that you need to menu to see other courses, drinks, breakfast, etc. and ask the FA or purser for one?
