Delta's Operational move from T5 to T2/3 at LAX:
Delta has moved to: T2 and T3 with eventual connector to TBIT (note: there is currently only airside bus service to stay securely between T2 & T3, the walking connector has not been built yet.)
Where to check bags: As of January 13, 2020, non-Sky Priority customers must check their bag(s) at the terminal their flight departs from, unless their flight departs from TBIT, in which case, they must check their bag at Terminal 2. Sky priority customers can check their bag at either terminal. See this link for more information.
Date(s) of move: May 12, 2017 - May 17, 2017
Here is a helpful chart from Delta which covers all Domestic / Int'l. transfer combos (AND TOTAL TRANSFER TIMES) between T2, T3 & TBIT.
New Bus Routes will help with connections:
- Circular Airfield Bus between TBIT, T2 and T3
- Airfield Bus between T2 and T3
Bus Map
Will there be a SkyClub: Yes, there is one in each terminal. Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse will remain.
- The SkyClub in T2 opened on May 20th (Former AC Maple Leaf Lounge)
pix in post 1058
- The SkyClub in T3 opened on May 24th (Former VX Loft)

Where Will The Delta One Check In Lounge Be Located:
In T2, there is a small Delta One seating area with refreshments. An agent will escort you from the check in/lounge area through a back pathway up stairs to TSA precheck. Its a shorter walk to check-in at SkyPriority and easier if you have a carry on and don't want to drag it up a flight of stairs. 11/3/17)
Airlines joining DL in T2/3 for landside and departures:
- AeroMexico (T2)
- Virgin Atlantic (T2)
- WestJet (T3)
Landside T2 only, departures from TBIT:
- Virgin Australia
- Volaris
Landside T3 only, departures from TBIT:
- Avianca/Taca
- Copa (effective April 7)
- InterJet
Will there be secure links between T2-T3 and TBIT: Yes, the final plan is to let pax walk between all airside.

The TBIT gates have three digits, mostly in the 130's (north concourse) and 150's (south concourse).
Gate numbers in the 200's are the remote stands.
My guess as to why the Delta app is showing that your flight is departing from T2 is that probably is where you are supposed to check in for the flight.
Sorry, I am not familiar with the Sky Clubs or the KAL lounge, so I'm unable to answer that question.

T2 Skyclub is IMHO somewhat better than KAL lounge ... enough to be worth the extra time it will take to get from the T2 Skyclub to the gate.

Flew LAX-HNL this morning. Departure was from gate 38 in T3, but I had extra time so cleared at T2 so I could check out the lounges. With Clear and Pre, security took about 90 seconds. T2 SkyClub had minimal crowd at 6:15. Also checked out the Virgin Clubhouse, now accessible with Priority Pass. Great space with comfortable sofas, spectacular tarmac views, and private restrooms, but the food and beverage options were weak . . . some breads, cereal, and whole apples and bananas. No coffee machine, just a couple carafes of coffee sitting on a bunn burner.
Intended to take the airside bus to T3, but the line at gate 22 was at least 50 deep and the crowd looked agitated. Decided it would be quicker to exit and reclear security at T3, and this was totally the right call. Took less than 10 minutes total, including the walk between terminals. T3 security (again with Clear and Pre) was a breeze.
Has anyone commented on the UA syle boarding group stands they are now using at LAX? At gate 38, the "Premium" stand was actually partway down the jetway, which was just awesome due to the separation from all the other boarding groups.

I started at the DL SC in T2 where I spent most of the layover. Did a tour of the Emirates lounge then spent the last few minutes at the KAL lounge.

Super lame catering, mostly. ...how lame, you ask?
(Picture of Woodbridge wine)
The prosecution rests. :P
(The food isn't much better - just random veggies and chips, mostly.)
The KE lounge is comfortable enough (particularly the balcony seating) and the shower facilities are excellent, so if you have to spend time in that terminal it's not awful. But if you're not departing from TBIT and/or don't desperately need a shower, going there is a complete waste of time. The Delta lounges are a far better choice - even in T3 - as long as you can find a seat. And T2 is the best of the three by far - it's actually a pretty reasonably nice experience (other than the shower plumbing being out of service).

Here's the on-topic question:
I'm flying KLM out of Bradley next week; flight is 006-ticketed and Delta coded. No luggage and I'll be at LAX 3 hours before departure.
Should I try checking in at T-2 (Delta One Counter or not)? Even if that's preferred, is it even possible for a KLM-operated flight?
I flew KLM a year ago, and checked-in at Bradley. At that time, I didn't think the KAL lounge was much worse than a Skyclub, but it is definitely worse than the Star Alliance and oneworld lounges in Bradley.

I would be very surprised if you could check in at a DL counter for a KL-operated flight, no matter which airline you bought the ticket from. And why would you need to? Since you're not checking luggage, can't you just do OLCI for the KL flight?

Could someone please remind me . . . .
I'm flying LAX/ATL/LHR <next week>, and, I have a GUC UG to D1 from ATL/LHR, but, it doesn't look good for my UG from LAX/ATL.
Will they allow me to use the D1 check-in? I seem to remember that they won't, but, it's been a long time since I read anything about the LAX D1 check-in.
Thanx!

However D1 check-in isn't what it was at T5. Simply a separate check-in counter that might not even be open.

I'll have my ride drop me at the stairs -- up and thru Clear and to the lounge to show my passport.

I was also wondering the same thing. Security lines at TBIT can be a mess and I don't think they have Precheck or CLEAR (maybe they do now). Would be nice to go through security in T2 and then take a shuttle bus to TBIT.

KL does not participate in Precheck. If OP has Clear, could clear security at T4 and walk airside, or T2 and take the shuttle. I'd do T4.

Delta Transfer Info Chart for LAX
Since it seems to be a recurring line of questioning: For those seeking transfer advice, Delta has put out a really helpful chart that covers all T2, T3, & TBIT transfer permutations, including estimated transfer times. I have now added this to the wiki.
