*Note: This version has 13-14CDE as preferred seats, not C+. This configuration does not have doors near the engines (like the 764 does) and does have 2 over-wing exits (like the 76L/76T). There are lavatories near the over-wing exits (20-21CDE do not exist).

*Note: This version has doors near the engines (like the 764) and only has one over-wing exit. There are lavatories near the 2nd set of doors (13-14CDE do not exist). Unlike all other 767 versions Delta has, there isn't a lavatory set near the over-wing exits (because they are near the 2nd set of doors).

*Note: This configuration is used inclusive on SEA-PVG, ATL-LOS. It also frequently works SEA-ATL to provide rotation. These aircraft do cover flights to Europe All 36J seats will be sold because it has a crew rest module installed. Also, the Y seats are the older ones like the 777 with the older IFE system (only 767-300ER type with that, all others are the newer seats/system).
**All retired 6/30/2020 due to COVID-related fleet simplifications

What DL is believed to do is put all flights with 26J as the 76Z Version 2 configuration and then change it to 76Z Version 1 closer to departure as needed. If you select 20-21CDE when it is 76Z Version 2 and it changes to 76Z Version 1, it should seat you in 13-14CDE considering that 20-21CDE doesn't exist on the configuration it changed to. All other seats are numbered the same regardless of Version 1 or 2, although there may be minor differences such as row 20 being an exit row on Version 1.

Sept 25 2020 Announcement: Delta to retire 717, 767-300ER and CRJ-200

20A is the first exit row and has limited to normal recline (seems to vary with each a/c). Some do not like these seats' proximity to the lavatory.

As it has good leg room, I would probably take it over a regular Y seat.

Rwoman is correct, but I believe she meant proximity to the bathrooms.

On the 76G variant, row 20 (Y) is separated by exit then EC row 19. No bulkhead (that I can see) and no lavatory/bathroom/restroom/loo/bog/etc nearby.

My other alternative is 14D (EC Middle row bulkhead) but not liking that option at all.

On another forum, it was mentioned that ships 180 and 181 would be converted to a 76Z layout instead of the 76L layout once they go through conversion. Can we update the stats to reflect this now that 180 is in mods so we track the correct subfleet?

Thanks for updating, N515CR. Basically, 8 aircrafts are in mods at this time (4 B767s and 4 AB330s). That is very aggressive schedule.

Thinking about it, you're right, on my last flight from EZE (76G) there was no bathroom by the exit row.

EZE has been using at least two different 767 configs, with five versus six rows of BE, unfortunately all horrid with the old narrow recliners.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news for you MNRedFox, but I don't think that any of the domestic-configured 767s are included in this mod program. The lie-flat program only includes the BE configured int'l 767-300ERs that currently have the recliner seats for Business Elite. You may have to suffer those a few years more!

The domestic 763s (other than ships 1401-1404 used on Hawaii flights) are not ETOPS rated, and it would cost Delta a lot of money to get such an old fleet to ETOPS standards in order to fly them on transatlantic routes. In addition, these aircraft are the original 767-300, not the 767-300ER. They are primarily used on domestic high-capacity leisure destinations, and do not warrant a flat bed international business class product.

I am flying on DL067 from ZRH-ATL on October 11th. This flight has almost always been the old 2-2-2 BE configuration in the past, I have never flown this route on the new configuration. I am not flying BE, but may look into upgrading if something becomes available. I am currently in 17A, which is the 1st row of EC and window bulkhead seat according to the seatmap on Delta.com and EF.

But, now I was just checking in on my itinerary details, I noticed that it now says this a/c is a 767-400 on Delta.com but the seating configuration has not changed from the 767-300ER configuration.

Does this mean there is a likelyhood that the a/c on this trip will be substituted with a 767-400? If so, how do they reassign the seating?

Just curious as this will also change the EC seatmap and I may need to book another seat.

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks
