*Note: This configuration is used inclusive on SEA-PVG, ATL-LOS. It also frequently works SEA-ATL to provide rotation. These aircraft do cover flights to Europe All 36J seats will be sold because it has a crew rest module installed. Also, the Y seats are the older ones like the 777 with the older IFE system (only 767-300ER type with that, all others are the newer seats/system).
**All retired 6/30/2020 due to COVID-related fleet simplifications

What DL is believed to do is put all flights with 26J as the 76Z Version 2 configuration and then change it to 76Z Version 1 closer to departure as needed. If you select 20-21CDE when it is 76Z Version 2 and it changes to 76Z Version 1, it should seat you in 13-14CDE considering that 20-21CDE doesn't exist on the configuration it changed to. All other seats are numbered the same regardless of Version 1 or 2, although there may be minor differences such as row 20 being an exit row on Version 1.

I'll be on Flight 28 from ATL to CDG on Sept. 7th. Delta cites "Boeing 767"

Will I have AVOD in Economy? I hope I do! I'm a usually a United Airlines Flyer, cause they have awesome planes, but gave Delta a chance this summer.

Thanks!

No way to know for sure until you get on the plane. DL has 767s that have AVOD, and some that do not, and they all rotate around.
Some routes have a guarantee for flat-bed in BE, which means AVOD in Y, but unfortunately, ATL-CDG is not one of them.

If this is a must for you, consider flying ATL-LHR-CDG or ATL-EWR-CDG, and then you'll have AVOD on the TATL.

ATL-EZE in mid-September still looks like pre-mod 767's. Looks to be my last ride in the old Barcaloungers.

According to the seat map at delta.com since it is 2-2-2 in BusinessElite there will not be AVOD in Coach. This is, however, subject to change

If you were flying via AMS on DL174 that is scheduled to operate on the 7th with a reconfigured 767 with AVOD in Coach

On a separate note outside of Channel 9 on pmUA planes I find United's planes horrible. I do not think I have ever been on one that had adequate padding in Coach and the planes themselves are very beat up inside

If you can't get a reconfigured 767, look for an A330. They're much nicer than the horrid old 767-300s.

oh man, i was hoping to have AVOD. please change! all is already booked, so no changes.

BTW:
United has a great TATL onboard product. Their spanking new 787 to Amsterdam, all 767-400s with AVOD (same as Delta's NEW A330 product), 777s have the AVOD of DL's 767-400.

They also fly some 757-200s to select EU cities from EWR. Flown on one (FRA - EWR) and it was pretty nice having a single aisle plane with little pax over the atlantic. It also had very similar AVOD to their 777s.

The only thing that sucks, are their 767-300s. They have ancient (at least inseat) IFE with a few channels. Better than nothing, but they are reconfiguring them. 747s have no AVOD but they offer Wi-Fi, which is a good (but not free) amenity. Just charge your devices at the airport and pray they don't die inflight.

I just found out that Delta sometimes uses an A330 on the route ATL-CDG as DL28.
See Aug. 17th on flightaware.com

Anyone know why?

You can pay the change fee plus fare difference to move to a flight scheduled with AVOD throughout. The 767-400 are 5 abreast on UA versus DL's 4 abreast with direct aisle access. Delta's 777's are also 4 abreast unlike UA who ranges from 6-8 in Business Class (and not all Business Class 777's have lie flats). Delta's 747 also have AVOD throughout and if you fly the 787 I hope your plane doesn't spontaneously combust

Would probably be cheaper to buy an iPad and fill it with content you want to watch...

Angry

Hi, I have a CDG-SLC trip next Tuesday. For the next two weeks, this flight came back from a A330 to a B767, and the seatmap shows an old configuration for my day of departure. Looks like I won't be lucky, I will have one of the few remaining crappy B763ER.

Still the old recliners? Really? (ATL-DUB)

Hi everyone,

Just booked myself on ATL-DUB-LCY, coming up on 8 September... it was way cheaper (like $1500 less) than ATL-LHR nonstop and arriving at LCY will work for me.

But now I see it's an old recliner... OMG! How many of these are there still left? I guess ATL-DUB must be one of the very last flights to have them right? That's a bit unlucky!

Thought I'd taken my last recliner in April (ATL-DUS) but seems like the experience will live on once more...

Restart of mods?

Looks like they are not wasting any time with the remaining 15 763ERs. Ship 176 (N176DN) will fly from BOM (after completing a scheduled AMS-BOM flight) to Singapore Paya Lebar Airport tomorrow (Sept 2). Some of the previous mods had been done at Paya Lebar in addition to HKG....

FYI, the remaining unrefurbished 763ERs are:

Going on a 76G, ATL-ZRH (28Sep) and only middle EC seats left. Is 20A any good or should I stick with my Y aisle?
