The link now takes you to a $100 offer. I only hope when the NHL comes back there will be as good an offer.

It will be in Canadian Dollars, so intrinsically a better value due to the exchange rate

So my transaction finally posted and it seems it is a tiered redemption for statement credits.

A qualifying purchase is any purchase greater than or equal to $25.00 made within the last 90 days.
I have 41,000 points, but it will only allow me to redeem 30K, 35K, or 40K. Trying to figure out how to salvage those last 1K points. Maybe spend another $25 and use the 1K as a $10 statement credit?

You can only redeem in 2,500 point increments. i.e. $25 statement credits. So even if you made a $25 purchase, that would give you 1,025 total points and you wouldn't be able to use those 1,025 for anything unless and until you accumulated 2,500 points.

So the math says I'd need to spend $1500 more to get another $25 back (1.67% cash back). Too many other cards offering way more than that.

My RAIDER card arrived today. It took a week to get it once I was approved.

I called and statement credits have to be in $25 increments (not any amount over $25), so no $410 credit.

After waiting about a week, I was approved for my Chargers card. I've done the $1000 spend and the 40K bonus has already posted to my account. I'm a season ticket holder so I'll just use the card at the stadium. I figure it's worth holding on to the card since there's no annual fee but I am not at all impressed with the rewards that are available for redemption.

Don't give up yet. Time is on your side. Because this is a no annual fee card and the points don't expire, there will be times when 1.67% will be a good return for everyday spend which pays 1%-1.5% on most cards. This, of course, would not apply if you have a straight 2% card as most of us do. $30 here, $80 there and eventually you'll get that $25 reward.

I agree about the rewards. This card seems the most valuable at least over the long-term for the folks that regularly go to NFL games so that that spending will be at 2% instead of the 1% that the majority of other cards would give for that spend.

I have a variant of a 2x travel card for the moment (Flexperks, but gettin > 1.75% on that isn't difficult).

I plan on keeping this NFL card for a while (no AF) so when it comes time to not have to worry about spend reqs, I'll put $$ on it.

Thanks for posting the link for the generic NFL card. I applied on Oct 11 and just receive approval today (no card yet). CSR confirmed the 40000 bonus after first spend. I thought I have to spend $1000 before getting the bonus but she said I will get it after first spend. I just had an aor last August so I was happy I still get approved.

13 Days and Counting

I applied for the Card on October 9th and still have not heard back. I know there is no rush here, but the wait is ridiculous. My score is about 820. Have never been denied for a card once.

Is this wait normal?

Looks like this is normal for Barclay. I had to wait 3 weeks last time when I applied for another one of their card.
