If you are applying for a personal Alaska card, and are not an expert on applying for Alaska cards STOP, don't apply yet.
Instead, read this post. Doing that first may save you a huge amount of wasted time and frustration.
A few people in the Alaska Airlines forum have in the past received personally targeted, single-use links for a 50k offer
when they opt-in to "Partner Offers" in their Mileage Plan account preferences.

BUSINESS CARDS

Note: There are two different earning formats for the business card, which you choose when you apply:
To avoid billing confusion later, make sure you choose the Individual Level Earning Plan if you are not going to have employee cards under the same account as your account.

Reconsideration # (for personal cards):
1-800-354-0401 (8am-7pm ET Mon-Fri) direct, referring agent from another BofA line called it their "credit department"
1-866-811-4108 from the Alaska Airlines Visa thread post 949
Business card Recon Line:
866-695-6598 (8-7 EST M-F from what I was told)
Biz card status line: 888 663 6262
Biz Card credit analyst line: 877 665 5022, 877 665 5023 (seems to be non-working number)

Credit Enquiries for Personal cards come from BofA. Enquiries for business cards come from FIA. Credit bureaus usually merge enquiries from the same requester made on the same day. Enquiries from BofA and FIA will not be merged.
When do the initial bonus miles post? You will get the miles after the statement closes for the cycle in which you meet your minimum spend. Usually AS points show up the Sunday evening after your statement closes, but sometimes it takes an additional week.
If there's a statement credit, when does it post?
It seems to be batch-processed. It will post automatically. Can be on the same statement or the next statement. It does not appear to be based on the statement close date.

For those of you who called after having 2nd and 3rd applications pending, how long did you wait until you called the recon line? I applied last night and called x4108 this morning and after being transferred to the new credit department, the agent told me that it's pending review and there is nothing they can do at the moment. She said they need a decision before she can go in and do anything.
Based on what I've read from most people's comments, it looks like they were able to call and get the decision immediately after the application. If this is your case, can you share with me 1) what number you called, 2) how long you waited before calling, 3) what you told the agent so he/she looked at your application without waiting?

What did the next agent say when you hung-up and called again?

After 3 weeks of my applications being "pending" despite being approved in recon over the phone (with a frozen EXP and other 2 active cards), all four were changed to "Approved" status yesterday, and showed up in my online account. 100K miles here I come.

Applied for 3 personal cards and used the booking method w/ $100 credit. One instant approval and 2 pending. Spoke to a nice BofA rep that said the rule is 2 per 90 days. I told her I need 3 for a special work project that will focus on budgeting with team members. Approved after 10 mins on the line.

Called around 4pm. Used the number in the Wiki. The first rep I spoke to said he was only for active card holders and put me on hold for like 5 mins and then someone by the name of Mary helped me.
Interestingly, I have little relationship with BofA. My mom has me as an authorized user on a stupid MLB card I think we got a free hat for signing up for.

I hadn't used the card in about 10 or 11 months (since I had completed the $1k spend for the $100 credit). I was calling to cancel after getting the letter reminding me that my 2nd annual fee would soon be billed.

Called in Today and rep said she can see two application and one was cancelled as duplicate. She came back saying she can approve only one and said only one card in 90 days.
Not sure if its One card per 90 days or 2 cards per 90 days . Its YMMV i guess

Quick question, for those of you who are waiting for the plat card upgrade to signature card, do you pay the $50 annual fee on the plat card? Thanks.

After talking to the CSR, it appears that we will pay the platinum fee of $50, and then we won't be billed the $75 visa signature fee until the next calendar year. So I paid them.
Basically, we get the signature card for the lower fee. The letters I received saying my request to convert the cards was approved say that I will be billed the higher fee the next year.
This could be a great coup assuming the visa signature 25k bonuses come through with the statement credits. In addition, I already had the 5k bonuses come through for the platinum cards, so it'll be interesting to see if they simply credit the difference in miles (an additional 20k miles) or credit the full 25k miles.
Best case scenario: 30k miles per card, $100 statement credit, and only $50 fee.
I will update once I actually receive the new visa signature cards.

Wow. This is the worst-case scenario. Thanks a lot, Bow-Tie Guy and all his disciples! I told y'all weeks ago not to kill this Golden Goose. Now it's going to be so much harder to book the Shower Plane...

Honestly, now that Etihad F can't be booked with AA miles, Emirates F is the best option into the world I fly to. Now it's going to be so much harder to book the Shower Plane...
Apolozige for side tracking a bit here, since when did AA miles cant be used for Etihad? Im a bit out of date on this, can you shed some light on this or any link that gives the latest on this?
Was planning to book Eithad with AA miles
