Really, near SHV, if you are wanting to take a jaunt down to Alexandria, Cajun Landing is EXCELLENT seafood.
i highly recommend the white chocolate bread pudding, heavenly!

It has been about 4 years since i have eaten there, so I hope it is the same now as it was.
Seafood bisque also good, but I make my own that is as good or better now since tasting theirs :)

I notice a distinct trend, almost every recommendation begins with leave SHV :D

i am sure ALCO would back us up on that too.

And I'm in 73B both ways on the long segments (ATL-NRT-ATL) on the 744, low-level redemption (120,000 + $52.90 tax).

ETA: might change to row 77 for the flight back.

SkyTeam USA gets a bad rap sometimes - I have pretty good success with them.

Was YouTubing instead of packing and found these:

CO vs AA

747 Video - No CO

And this one:

777 EWR-SEA

Guess this last one was a ferry run. That would be a cool surprise!!

Find one close to the subway system. The price will shock you as Japan isn't cheap. I prefer to stay as close to the shopping area as possible, the Ginza district but that's just me. I like walking around and not being tied to my hotel room so I like being in the middle of the "action".

Lots of sights to see and do in Tokyo. Kamakura (outside Buddha) is only a train ride away. Nikko, the shrine area of one of the Shoguns, is another train ride north and beautiful.

Kabuki Theater is interesting. Sumo tournaments are good fun. Not sure if either of those will be going on when you are there but both are well worth the visit if you want to really see Japanese cultural things.

Just got done speaking with the nurse and my mother. She is getting much better and should be out of the hospital within a few days.

I asked for her car and was turned down. Her car was originally my BIL's so she wants him to get it, someday. :td:

Flowers have been ordered and will be delivered today. The hospital has agreed to notify me if she takes a turn for the worst.

But there is a CO 747 in that video, it's the second one shown. It's painted in that horrendous 70's paint scheme they used back then.

Will have at least one night in the Park Hyatt; the rest of the time might be in the other Hyatt but probably will also involve Intercontinental and/or Hilton points ...
