Greetings Box,

Just woke up, got home on the redeye from SFO this morning. It was an uneventful flight, except for the buzz saw in row 5 who kept the entire FC cabin awake. I was in 1A and he was in 5F and I could hear him like he was right next to me. His seat mate kept prodding him and he would stop for a few minutes, then start up again. I've been on plenty of flights with snorers, but this guy was about the loudest I've ever encountered.

Anyway, just hanging out for few hours, then the SO and I are heading over to J&R in the city to do some replacement shopping.

Glad it's put you into a better situation.

It has, and further offerings from there will continue to.

In other news, I have done the math and this grad program, before books and not taking into account any other financial aid than the VA, puts me on the hook for a shade over $14k. At least I have that number as the worst-case and now I know that any forms of grants or aid received subtract from it.

J&R is always a fun trip. Too bad about the reason though.:td:

I've looked up prices on their website but don't have anything purchased from the company.

icurhere2 Jan 23, 2010 12:33 pm

Alright - I'm going to make myself go to the gym.

ConciergeMike Jan 23, 2010 12:36 pm

I have to get dressed and such soon. Working 4-Mid.

icurhere2 Jan 23, 2010 12:39 pm

It takes me longer to find all my gym clothing than to get dressed for work. I'm off for a bit.

Yeah, but on the other hand shopping for a complete set of new home entertainment almost makes up for it. And he does have a guy coming out next week to give an estimate to have bars put on the windows.

Their prices are not always the cheapest, but I find the in-store experience superior to Best Buy.

We go to DiBruno Brothers in the food court at the Comcast Center. There are a variety of Belgian restaurants in town, none of which are appropriate places to bring my children ;). Waffles come from this place, and they are true luikse wafels, just like one could get in the street in Belgium.

Thanks! Look forward to trying them :)

Oh well. Off to Costco in Boca Raton to pick up that phone system that bdjohns1 gave the ^ to last night.

Also, a BBQ chicken and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot brut and I will be able to fulfill the "my turn to prepare the dinner" duties. I was thinking about stone crabs and a Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc but the chicken and bubbly is cheaper and more convenient and will get the same pleased reaction when I serve them. :)

that doesn't take much :D

improv everywhere 'staff' were more friendly than the average best buy staffer.

Good Morning Box.

After last nights delightful  conversation with my sister, I decided that a good stiff drink was in order. Mistake. I know better than to drink on an empty stomach. I did sleep like a log.

CM: about that safe. I have no idea what brand it is but Mom has had it for over 30 years. It's about 2' x 3'. Not sure if I even want it.

If you're lucky, they'll even have them. The last two times we were there they didn't have oil (today, they were cleaning the fryers). Daughter #1 settled for ice cream from Bassett's in the Reading Terminal Market.

We walked by Copa's place of business but were three hours too early.

Now I'm hungry again. Unfortunately, I usually seem to find myself in Florida outside of stone crab season.

That's the second time in two days I've heard someone say this. What is up with that?

I actually love my '95 Honda Accord and I will drive it til it drops dead.

Before I went car free, my last one was a '92 Civic. It had over 250k when I gave it up, and I'm convinced it would have gone another 250k.

I don't even need them to be friendly, just helpful would be good.
