For me, I'll only requalify for CO Plat if DEQM is available. I don't think I will put much effort into maintaining Plat and 1K on CO and UA respectively if DEQM is not offered. Besides, in a year or so both programs will be merged together anyway ;).

I saw that bit of that episode recently, which made the "supposebly" really salient

I am shooting for Plat 100k on CO, but probably 20,000EQM will come from a longhaul on UA.

I really like the mussels and frites there.

I really liked their chicken and waffles. Talk about big breakfast though.

Congrats on 15k.

That is a problem. During the '06-'07 high times they sharply increased their rates and since then, even on an expense account, I think twice before booking. My last few stays have been at that new Westin in Reston on the other side of the access road.

I did not know about that since I always have a car when I'm working there. And IAD nearby or not, I usually use DCA no matter where I need to be.

DCA is also my strong preference as airport - IAD is one of my least favorite airports but it's where I get for international O&D when visiting family. I was just making the run on the NoVA hotels due to cost - a Hyatt customer (particularly a diamond) is going to be treated well at any of the hotels in the region.

Part of me still wants to get to MM status on CO. I'm at about 850k right now.

I've tried a few of their menu board specials - a little concerned about the overall caloric intake of some of the larger breakfasts available at Bouchon.

That's very near where I lived, just off Sunrise Valley Drive / near the golf course.

Betty White is being honored on SAG Awards ^. She's still a riot.

I don't know about that. Since I lost the Diamond after 2005, I have not stayed at many Hyatts. Platinum in their system means virtually nothing so I can only go to hotels that know me from my past patronage to get the kind of treatment that I like (and so richly deserve). ;)

She's always been a riot. I have Duke-Clemson on (and hoping Duke loses - sorry Duke fans).

True but I think my experiences as a non-status / low-status Hyatt person exceeded my experiences as a non-status / low-status (insert chain here). Over the years I've held status with Choice, Hilton, Marriott, Radisson ...

I received a collection letter from the Mint - for an order from May of last year! I do a good job reconciling things each month; but I went through and did a full year reconciliation (from the time I started to my last order) and every single order was paid for. After 2 wasted hours, I fired off an email to the Mint. It was all I could do to tell them to go **** themselves and that they were total morons.
