My corporate rate with National is pretty good, and I'm allowed to use it for personal use (I just lose the automatic CDP coverage). I just made a few bookings in Hawaii, and got the following all-in rates:

Maui - standard SUV week: $290 base, $368 a/i
Kauai - standard SUV week: same rate, but using a few free day credits to get down to $176 a/i.
Oahu - premium car - $35.50 base, $137 a/i for 3 days. (that rate is the same for me on anything from mid-size to premium).

When I was looking at other vendors, the all-in prices were $10 cheaper on Maui, and $50 more on Kauai (before free days were factored in).

Good morning Box.

Tried out Brabo's Tasting Room in Alexandria, VA yesterday. It is part of the Lorien Hotel and Spa (Kimpton Hotel) and the mussels there were quite good. We had garlic and wine and chorizo and fennel versions. Though the mussels were small, they were quite tasty.

Ohhhhhh, yes! I intend to do that as soon as the GC gives me the go-ahead to order my appliances. Don't want to order them now, because I have nowhere to store them until the house is up.

The real question is how many miles per dollar will you get??

Wow! I didn't know there was a C&B outlet there. I live off of Exit 10 so it is really quick and easy for me to get down there. Is it easy to find once you exit? signposted?

There's a couple signs on the Turnpike and then some more as you get close, but I'd suggest ensuring you either have a GPS or map around. It's in Cranberry, NJ, with C&B info here.

It's one of the larger outlets they have :D. They carry kitchen gadgets in addition to dishes and cups, some bathroom and general household merchandise (e.g., curtains, picture frames, wicker baskets, pillows, carpets) and furniture. In the back they also have a dings and dents section with items that got a bit damaged in the distribution center -- make sure you go through the doors behind the furniture section!

If you learn to drive here and then go there, maybe you can be ambii (i.e. go both ways ....:D:D)

or you end up driving in circles by yourself

I do need one of the BNA-area Hyatt Places (preferably HP BNA) to lower rates drastically for one night this weekend.

I so wanted to pick a few stays up, had even consider a run for diamond but RDU-HPs are not playing nice. Average rate at my two choices is $75 for every weekend till the end of the promo(AAA is showing NO HELP AT ALL)
I don't need the FFNs or should I say likely have no personal travel planned where they could be used
I may still do a couple just to get back to plat, guess 150 out of my own pocket is not t:rolleyes::rolleyes: bad

Ah, yes, that's the question. There are many ways for me to do this. I could go through ebates and get about $400 rebate, plus the miles on either my AMEX SPG or my Pres Plus m/c, plus if I use a NY retaile I will save NJ sales tax of about $1400. Or, I could look at going through the OnePass shopping program and see if there are any options there, and earn miles on CO and PresPlus. I will need to be very strategic when I actually press the purchase button!

Hmmm. Maybe I need to co-opt icurhere2 to help me on this one. Perhaps I could buy discounted gift cards with my amex or PPMC, and then use those to purchase via ebates or OnePass..... hmmmmmm.. paging...icurhere2

Fantastic! Thanks. I think I may pop down there next week to check it out.
