Great aircraft cabin lens with it being a 16-35, but steep indeed.

I use these two:
DT 11-18mm f/4.5-5.6
DT Carl Zeiss 16-80mm f/3.5-4.5

Still so worth it. (Not that I have the scratch for either).

That's the kind of scratch that can get one to EZE or something.

If you want real wide, the Tokina 11-16/2.8 is a nice lens. I got it in Nikon mount for <$600 from Beards&Hats. Pairs nicely with my D300.

I still lust for a 70-200/2.8, though. Teh Mrs. probably wouldn't approve of the $$$, though.

My next target is some sort of good zoom in the 50-200 range (or thereabouts). Sometimes, there are tantalizing views of soviet rust-buckets at the end of a runway that simply can't be captured well by the wide-angle.

She addresses the Joseph not Joan thing? I know the last name was 'wrong' but the first name was a bigger issue. I never watch the view, and TV here is on CNN about Haiti recovery, so I am curious what was said more completely.

God I hate CA. Apparently there is a bill proposing the ban of Plasma TVs in the state.

I rather enjoyed that myself.

Glad to provide the morning chuckle. I'm pretty sure I picked that up from one of the photography forums (fredmiranda.com, I think).

That's ridiculous. You have to love the good old tree hugger state...

Job fair a near waste of time for me. Better than most but nothing for me. :( Companies still just seem to be looking who's out there. A lot of financial institutions which was interesting to see. At least I got to talk to a lot of people I know. Everyone comes across different when they are dressed in suits.

Fantastic! Thanks. I think I may pop down there next week to check it out.

I might have to pop in there later today before my meeting. Just to look of course.

This is the same state that wanted to make suicide a crime punishable by death. I rest my case.

Sweet. Last semester's grades came in. 4.0. ^

Now, if only I could find a long-term yob.

Shame we can't move all of CA's scenery to a less dysfunctional state. I propose UT, if only so that I can visit all of my favorite landscape photography destinations (Yosemite, Bryce, Arches, Zion) in one trip. ^

Quick queries:

1) The tourist visa fee for Santiago (for a US citizen arriving by air): is it $100 or $131?

2) If you are arriving in Buenos Aires by sea, does anyone know what the entrance visa cost is for a US citizen?

3) Is there a departure tax required to be paid by one who is flying out of EZE?
