By far, though, the fastest way to cool a beer is with a CO2-based fire extinguisher. Works like gangbusters. :D

nu uh....a 55 gallon barrel with water and beer to the top, and a tank of nitrogen, works wonders. I would be surprised if CM HASN'T done this, it is a popular USAF thing...

I have not done that, but I have heard of it. I suspect the only reason I haven't done it is because my job function did not have a need for nitrogen. We had pressurized air lines and we had argon. Argon is the onboard coolant for the seeker head in the AIM-9 missile. @:-) More popular among the explosives types was to do an ice bath for beer and such in disused missile shipping cases.

I had lunch at Meatheads today. Small Chicago/northern IL chain which is basically the same as Five Guys, except:

1) No free peanuts
2) Better Cajun fries
3) Slightly different burger topping options

better bread? that is all I'd care about.

I have a $50 Princess Cruises onboard credit expiring in November. I can go on a one-night YVR-SEA cruise and drink it away, with a day either side in each city. Air is $270ai. That's tempting.

A sales rep just stopped in to see my mother and she has a CO credit card but knew nothing of ShopOnePass or the existence of the PPlus card.

I think it's a little more substantial than 5G, but not a huge change.

The fries are definitely better - they're cut smaller (think the cross-section of a McD's fry), so it's easier to get them to the right level of doneness. I've had a few batches of 5G fries that were underdone.

So she can instead use shopping portals that don't suck. Doesn't sound so bad to me. ;)

U.S. to increase airline security amid purported new threat from al-Qaida in Yemen - NBC News developing
:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

ETA:

The new regulations — which are to be announced later Thursday — were not described in detail, but a senior U.S. official told NBC News on condition of anonymity that they would include further in-flight restrictions in passengers’ movement, more random pre-flight screening of passengers and an increase in the number of federal air marshals on flights.

BAck on the airport bus after a great lunch with Jonathon! This is a cool way to do downtown if you ever have a layover!!

Where did you eat? I could have met up, since... well, I am just a few blocks south of downtown.

If you think about it.. in the case of the Nigerian.. profiling would not have worked. Otherwise, it mostly works.

You would have to pay me several multiples of the product of $50 and $270 to visit SEA or YVR again.

Time to buy some 3M, as I'm sure the sales of Duct tape are bound to be up nest year, as passengers are restrained
