I'd love to be getting me some Brooklyn Decker Wyndham miles but as I can't get signed up for a BD number, ,not sure that's going to work out. I'm guessing trying to get miles retroactively would be a lesson in utter :rolleyes:ness

I really think that their pilots - at least the ones running the union - want the carrier to fail.

It wouldn't surprise me. They have pretty toxic pilot labor relations at US, which is why several years post-merger they still have two separate pilot groups and contracts. In part, the issue boils down to seniority -- as I understand it, the original arbitrator's decision interlaced US and HP pilots one-for-one which would have left US pilots (the most junior of whom was hired in the late '80s or early '90s, IIRC) below HP pilots with less experience and tenure in the seniority scale. As a consequence, US pilots decertified their union and formed another (at least, I think that's what happened; I have a limited tolerance for reading the usaviation threads that cover this issue). Meanwhile, they still don't have a unified contract, in part because it would likely cost US money, and US's management is in no hurry to push things along.

At some point last year, the pilots' union had put up anti-management billboards along I-95 near PHL.

My guess is also that someone in the pilots' union thinks that this will cost mainline jobs.

CO offered the same special and you have to not earn MR points to get it. The points I get from a stay are far more valuable than 1500 OnePass miles.
