I wish it was on a carrier other than TG, but choices are few and far between for that bird. It will complete my A340 set.

Their J cabin / service is pretty good. And if you want to some some Baht, I've heard good things about premium economy.

It's no SQ but the seats are comfortable (170 deg. flat tilt), the AVOD is great, and the food/service is very strong.

More white death falling from the skies. The shot that Philthydelphia TV had of Terminal F'ed with numerous jetways extended and lit and no planes at them was hilarious.

I've flown TG C on the 744 Upper Deck, and was less than impressed with the seat. It's not one of the best angled-flats I've experienced, despite the quality of the food and service. The padding had been perma-squashed, and the seat was lumpy. I'm not looking forward to it on a 16 hour BKK-LAX.

Negative. I believe just the a345 white elephants.

Correct. There were even rumors that they were considering scrapping them as that was worth more cash then selling them.

Time, yes. Desire, no. I suppose if I'm spending the night in YTO anyways I could train to YOW and pick up the extra airport/line at the same cost.

If you go to YOW, go skating on the canal. You can have hot chocolate and a Beaver Tail. You will also have skated on the world's longest skating rink - 7.8 kilometres (4.5 miles). And if Winterlude is on now, they may have some really cool ice sculptures.

Ice pellets of death falling from the skies here.

I am trying to work, but the kids are home which makes things difficult. They are now watching last night's American Idol on the DVR.

It would have been better if the people in my car were friendly and talkative but they seemed to act like we'd get arrested if we did so I just watched movies on the laptop.

I used to take the train home from college at the end of the year (a 13 hour overnight trip, much of it spent behind freight trains and stopping for no apparent reason). I batted .500 with seatmates -- one year sat next to a young woman who had been the prom date of the guy in my high school with the 12" spiked mohawk, the other year sat next to a born again Christian who tried unsuccessfully to proselytize (my response was to go to the café car and have a few beers).

We had those earlier this morning (while I was shoveling, before a 9:30 call). Now it's the fluffy stuff again. I will probably have to go back out in an hour or two and shovel again. The snow is too dense for the kids to enjoy playing in, so we can't even get them out of the house.

ETA glad to hear the minions of Morales came through for ALCO.

I'm not saying the seat is the best out there, but it really wasn't bad. Was the 744 configured with the new J that they rolled out, I believe, with the a345? On our 18 hour flight I probably managed a solid 7 hours of sleep. And I can't sleep for  on CO's BF nonsense (as a frame of reference).

Teh Canuck is out shoveling the driveway and walk. I told her there was no need to do that now, and I would take care of it in a bit and she 'ed at me and said "I'm in my element. Leave me be."

Fair enough.

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.

With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!

I might go back out later and deal with the latest small plow drift at the end of the driveway.
