This discussion about schools reminds me of a great quote I read recently in a science journal. I don't remember the exact quote so I'll have to paraphrase, but it was something to the effect of, while the rest of the world is debating about what science and engineering courses to teach their children, we are still debating about whether to teach ours science or fantasy.

Good goes .
Canuck set-up an appointment to get a quote for a fence at the Casa. Gentleman pulls up and I answer the door. He looks at me and says he knows me from somewhere. We go on with taking measurements of the yard, talking about the retaining wall, etc. A few minutes later he stops himself mid-sentence and says "I figured it out. Thanks for saving my life." He was a patient of mine a couple years ago. Had a massive MI and called 9-1-1. So, hopefully I'm getting a good price on the fence. :-: |

Did the biopsy hurt?

I come from a weird town that the public school in my day was better academically than the private schools. People went to the private schools if they were into sports, they couldn't handle the less structured nature of public school, had some sort of other issue, or their parents couldn't bare the thought of their kids going to a public school.

Is she looking for PR in general or PR for news outlets?

What I disagree with is the recent move in Texas to allow private schools to partake in UIL sports. These schools have a distinct advantage as they can recruit and they offer scholarships.
Now, sports shouldn't be the focus of the school systems, but I see this move as a pretty bad idea. |
Time to wrap up some unfinished business and then get out of here for the night.
