Yep. She can't find much work out there. There was a great job with CO as a Media Specialist but she didn't have on hands experience with one or two of the tech applications of the job. :( Never mind she's won an Emmy and nominated for another Emmy and has all that on air experience and writing ability. It's very frustrating for her.

I wish I could help her here.. unfortunately, she has too much experience for here... ie, they hire green reporters for cheap...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

That's the problem every where and they want the young 20 somethings since the news isn't news anymore but entertainment.

She's trying to break into the PR end of the business.

Grew up in south Florida = sun whore. Parents never put sun block on me as we were at the beach weekly... daily during the summer. Already had basal cell carcinoma on my neck. One of my mom's friends died from melanoma.:(

Some p:cool:sitive news on my plate -- I got into a NIA intensive training class in April that I had been waitlisted for!^

I am soo relieved & excited -- it was such a sh:rolleyes:ck when I booked the airfare in late Dec. & then came to find out that the class was full:eek: in early Jan.!:mad: Anyway, I knew that I just had to be patient & things would work out the way they are intended to!^:cool:

I think the feeling is mutual. We started out as pen pals in the 8th grade. Now we're email buddies in the twilight of our years.
