O. M. G.

My mother just spent 15 minutes of my life attempting to get from the Jersey Shore to King of Prussia with Google Maps, because she finds it difficult to use.

She has a GPS.

She has a GPS.

She has a GPS.

She has a GPS.

On our 18 hour flight I probably managed a solid 7 hours of sleep. And I can't sleep for  on CO's BF nonsense (as a frame of reference).

Teh Canuck is out shoveling the driveway and walk. I told her there was no need to do that now, and I would take care of it in a bit and she 'ed at me and said "I'm in my element. Leave me be."

Fair enough.

I want pictures.

Similar story as related to be by one of my clients....

His in-laws got a new GPS for their car. They love it except that it frequently reverts to providing directions in German. Last road trip they went on the German added an extra 3 hours of total travel time as they got lost.

Of that 3 hours, 30 minutes was in their own neighborhood as they were blindly following the GPS instead of just driving out the way they always have.

Apparently the DOT has put restrictions on the proposed slot swap between US and DL at LGA and DCA. :D

At the end, if they move forward, US walks away with 28 extra slots, not a great deal when DL walks away with 105.

Ah, yes, IIRC... they do have a different version of the angled-flat on the A345. I'm still taking my Ambien, though. :-:

I have a feeling all my CO flying is going to be mileage runs to the west coast

This is exactly why you will see the continued unbundled trend.

it is all about the lowest price, no one cares about premium services until they don't have something they once did.

In the past I have sucked it up and paid but the spreads werent all that bad. Ex. DL - $240, CO - $270 but when it starts looking like DL - $210 and CO $450 it makes the decesion to go with DL a lot easier especially since Im now buying 2 tickets instead of one and trying to keep up with my pre-marriage travel patterns. She has CO/DL - Gold and I have CO/DL - Plat so our chances of sitting up front are pretty good on either airline.

I get the NY TV stations on my satellite. I can see video/pictures of LGA. Nothing is moving on the ground, except for plows.

I looked at the FAA ATC web site. I'm proud to report that there are no delays in NE Corridor airspace!

Not entirely true. It's the value that someone places on the premium services vs. the pricing being offered. What's the ROI for the higher price?

e.g. Flying to HHH this weekend on US. My preferred airline CO tried to sell me seats for over $1,000 more than US. Granted, CO has a non-stop (to not the airport I wan to go to) but it's on an RJ. Why on  would anyone pay a $1,000 premium to fly CO on this route? What's the benefit that, that $1,000 premium would have offered me?

Rev. management FAIL.

Speaking of FAIL. I just got a thing from AVIS that gives me a new service that provides me a guaranteed car even when there are no cars. This is nice seeing as the ABQ airport never seems to have cars. I tried to register for the service, using my old Wizard number and profile and it won't let me because it says I don't have a name or DOB in my profile.

When I go to put these items in, I can't edit those fields.

EFF it. I'm sticking with Hertz and random rentals at Thrifty or whoever. Avis blows.

I've flown TG C on the 744 Upper Deck, and was less than impressed with the seat. It's not one of the best angled-flats I've experienced, despite the quality of the food and service. The padding had been perma-squashed, and the seat was lumpy. I'm not looking forward to it on a 16 hour BKK-LAX.

We're on that flight at the end of the month. It's on a 345-500 I believe. I'll let you know how the seats are...

That's pretty funny, especially the German.

Today I had to explain the difference between the Delaware and Schuylkill rivers.

I used that as a broad example. and was saying, CO WILL NOT introduce premium services across the board, as people simply won't care and won't pay for it.

they are too large to try to find a niche.

I am all about a niche market, and I think there are airlines that cater to that already, but you can't be large, and niche at the same time ;) (ok well maybe apple is)

I know what you're saying. And I was simply pointing out that CO's Rev. Management Lurker was smoking something...
