She has a GPS.

She has a GPS.

You poor boy! -- I know my son thinks I'm a bit 'clueless' at times -- but he knows that I am very 'navigationally-competent' - whether by map or GPS!:D

I could also take the train down from YYZ. Choosing to spend 13 hours on Amtrak rather than 2 hours flying is not a sane decision, is it?

13 hours? - yikes!:o

They love it except that it frequently reverts to providing directions in German.

I have a funny story regarding a GPS in a German rental car. Almost missed my flight out of the FRAport Flughafen because my GPS kept sending me in circles due to "traffic conditions."

:mad::mad::rolleyes::mad:

I eventually over-rode it and made my way to the airport, with about 45 min. to spare.

Apparently the DOT has put restrictions on the proposed slot swap between US and DL at LGA and DCA. :D

At the end, if they move forward, US walks away with 28 extra slots, not a great deal when DL walks away with 105.

For your RDA of :rolleyes:, read the threads in the US and DL forums on the subject. Lots of armchair regulators there.

Other than that they are two different rivers, what are the salient features that you mentioned?

No plows through my street yet -- snow is still coming down!:rolleyes:

My mother thought it was the same river. When I told her that crossing the Walt and driving past the Zoo were in fact two different rivers, she :rolleyes:'d at me over the phone. Google Maps told her "I-76", I told her the Walt. Her: "But the map doesn't say the Walt." She can't get into her head that the Expressway is faster despite that it is out of the way. She thinks the correct method to get to Philly from the Shore is 72 to 70 to 295.

Have I ever mentioned that I hate snow? This mess better not impact our drive to Vermont tomorrow morning.

So far we just have a few flakes. I think the real snow just made it up as far as Newburgh. Estimated totals are 2-6" here. Shouldn't be a big deal if you can get past the NY metro area.

Well -- we don't have the 'blizzard' conditions, yet -- so I guess we'll see if what you're getting down there -- follows up this way!:eek:

The 'forecast' here is for 12-18 inches!:eek: My son is 'predicting/hoping' for another snow day from school -- tomorrow!:rolleyes:
