But then, I'm apparently like those people in diet ads. I walk around with an asterisk above my head and a disclaimer that says "CO elite upgrade results are not typical."

The complaints were with respect to mileage upgrades, IIRC. And inside 24 hours (though the return segments got messed up, too).

The rules are pretty clear and anyone who pays attention will understand them. CO even publishes them on co.com. But some people have nothing better to do with their life than blame someone else for their own mistakes.

Kinda scary. The cause of death is still unknown. I'll have to check out tomorrow's Honolulu papers for more information.

NFL players have a significantly shorter life expectancy due to all the abuse they take while playing, particularly undocumented and untracked head traumas.

The weather here is disgusting. Absolutely awful. Not really rain or snow; it is like clumps of slush coming out of the sky. Nothing sticking yet. I'm not looking forward to going outside today.

I do hope the box NYC contingent keeps me up to date, I need to decide if I fly by tonight hopefully. I really want to go but don't want to get stuck either.

OK, winter, you win. I will move back to Ohio where it is less snowy

100 miles further south, it's actually quite pretty. Big flakes falling gently from the sky. Surprisingly, the township has already salted our side street twice, which leaves me hopeful that our street will actually be passable, unlike after the last three storms.

Of course, the kids are out of school. Given what is expected for the mid-afternoon, that's probably a good thing.

Morning box. Time to greet the

You said it! After dropping off my son at the HS at 7:30a -- got a 2nd call from the district saying that now there is going to be an extra early dismissal at 10am  -- normal early dismissal is noon!

Am not going to AUS -- CO elite desk was great -- full refund!^ The agent said that she had just dealt with a customer who was demanding not only the ticket refund -- but lost wages as she had taken 2 wks off from work for vacation!:rolleyes::eek:

Yup! Very big, wet heavy snowflakes coming down. Roads are wet, not packed with snow. The snow is very heavy and wet. I think it is going to get much worse this afternoon.

Hang on in there, and only cancel at the last minute. We'll keep you posted. All of us really want this w/e to work! And, it wouldn't be the same without you there!

Did you cancel AUS because of the weather or because you had other things that needed to be done?

rolov Feb 25, 2010 6:26 am

Surprisingly our schools did not call a snow day. They may very well call an early dismissal, but at the moment the roads are just wet, not snowy.

I'm glad MissTeenBrit managed to leave at 6:30am for Harvard Model Congress. She is the Head Delegate for her school (she is the Attorney General at the Congress) and she was fretting last night that the trip would be called off.

Fortunately, they got a head start on the snow here, and are driving north and east, out of the snow band to Cambridge, MA.

I shall be texting her every 30 minutes to make sure she is still safe.....

I am thinking about heading to GRK in the morning for business purposes, and being nearby the airport to handle anything in person :D
